National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is inviting online applications to fill up a single vacancy for the post of General Manager (Information Technology). The recruitment is to be done on promotion, deputation, or contract basis. A detailed recruitment notification in this regard is available at the official website i.e. nhai.gov.in. As per the schedule of events indicated in the recruitment notification, the online registration process at the NHAI website is commencing on July 18, 2020, from 10.00 AM. The last date of submission of applications is August 17, 2020, till 06.00 PM. Furthermore, the last date of receipt of hard copies of the application form along with necessary copies of supporting documents is September 01, 2020, till 06.00 PM.
The detailed eligibility criteria in terms of the minimum educational qualifications and other parameters are prescribed in the advertisement. The maximum age of recruitment through deputation and contract is 56 years. Candidates having a B.E./B. Tech degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/C level certification from DOEACC or B.E/B. Tech in any discipline along with an MBA in Information System/Information Technology) and equivalent qualifications are eligible to apply. Furthermore, candidates with an M.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology/Multimedia and having 01 year of relevant experience are also eligible to apply. Candidates having MCA/B Level certification from DOEACC with B.Sc. Mathematics as a subject and having 02 years of relevant experience are also eligible to apply. Those having B.Sc. in Computer Science/Information Technology/Multimedia)/BCA/A level Certificate from DOEACC and 03 years of relevant experience are also eligible to apply. After the selection of candidates for the aforementioned post, whether on a promotion, deputation or contract basis candidates are appointed at Group A in the Pay Band 4. The pay scale is Rs 37400 to 67000. In addition they are entitled to receive Grade Pay of Rs 8700 as per the 7th Central Pay Commission Matrix. Candidates may be posted anywhere in India and their job role includes looking after Cyber Security in NHAI.
Before applying, candidates must note that there is no provision for application form withdrawal or editing. In addition, candidates who refuse to join the organization after selection may be barred for any further NHAI recruitment for up to a period of 02 years. At first, the candidates have to apply online through the website of the NHAI by clicking on the relevant application link for the concerned recruitment. At first, candidates have to register with a valid email ID and mobile number to generate the User ID and password. Candidates must log in to the website using these credentials sent to the registered email to fill up and submit the applications.
