The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences has successfully conducted the NEET PG 2021 examination today. The test was scheduled in the morning session starting from 9:00 AM and ending by 12:30 PM. Due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation in the country, the number of test centres was increased. To ensure utmost safety, the test was conducted by adhering to appropriate COVID-19 behavior. However, with the completion of the test, students are now in apprehension regarding the declaration of results.
NEET PG 2021 Result Date
Although the board has not released any official date for declaring the NEET PG 2021 results, it is expected that the same will be available either in the last week of September, or the first week of October.
In the year 2020, NEET PG was held on January 05 while the results were announced on January 30. This means that the results were declared 25 days after the examination date. Similarly, in 2019, the entrance test was held on January 06 and the results were announced on January 31, i.e. once again, 25 days from the examination date.

Likewise, in 2018, the NEET PG examination was held on January 07 while the results were made available on January 24. Hence, it can be seen that the results were announced 17 days from the examination date.
Based on these trends, this year, the results can be expected between 20 to 25 days from today. In that case, the results for NEET PG 2021 can be declared any day within October 01, 2021 to October 06, 2021.

An analysis of these cut offs shows that the cut-offs for all the three categories have only increased from 2018 to 2019 and again from 2019 to 2020. While the increment from 2018 to 2020 was between 14 and 19, the same for 2019 to 2020 was within the range of 24 to 26. Now, take a look at the cut-offs for 2016 and 2017.

The cut-offs for 2016 and 2017 show a mixed trend of increment and decrement. For two particular categories: UR and OBC, the cut-offs have only decreased from 2016 to 2017. While for the remaining categories, the cut-offs have significantly increased. However, please note that these previous year cut-offs are only for reference purposes. This year, whether the cut-offs will increase or decrease, is unknown. Only after the release of the official cut-offs for 2021, one can be certain about it.
Assuming that the rise in cut offs will be 7-8%, and accounting for the lowering of total marks, it is anticipated that the cut off will be above 260 this time.
Result, as well as cut off will be available in 20-30 days.
