National Board of Examinations will declare the NEET MDS result 2021 today, on December 31, 2020. The exam was held on December 16, 2020, at centers spread across the country, as a socially distanced computer based test.
Whereas the date for NEET MDS results is announced, the exact time at which the result link will be activated is as of yet, unknown. Candidates all over India who took the test are waiting with bated breath for the announcement.
Late last night yesterday, NBE published a notice pertaining to some changes in the information bulletin. A change is hereby notified pertaining to OBC reservations. The notice reads: reservation to OBC candidates in State surrendered seats under All India Quota from the academic session 2021-22 will be subject to outcome of the case pending before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Writ Petition No. 596 of 2015 / any decision taken by the Central Government in this regard.
Today, NBE will publish the result of NEET MDS exam as a merit list. Candidates will be able to download the merit list PDF from natboard.edu.in. To check the result, one has to go to the website after the result is announced, and locate the result announcement under the notice board sections. Clicking it will open the merit list pdf.
Alternatively, one can also go to the link NEET-MDS, under the NBE results section. And there, click the merit list file as and when it is published.
The merit list shall contain roll numbers and corresponding ranks of all candidates who have qualified the exam. Cut off criteria is to obtain 50th percentile, in the case of general and EWS category candidates. However the criteria is 40th percentile for SC, ST, OBC candidates, and 45th percentile for UR PWD candidates.
Corresponding cut off marks will be disclosed today with the result. However even after initial publication of cut offs, the same may get revised later if candidates numbering fewer than three times the vacancies qualify.
Since the merit list will carry the ranks, the details of toppers will also be available with the NEET results for MDS admissions today. However only their roll numbers will be known. Nevertheless information on toppers will soon be public after the merit list publication. Toppers are usually made public on social media by themselves, or friends, family, coaching centers they are associated with do it.
NEET MDS is held yearly for MDS admissions to all Master of Dental Surgery seats admissions, except that of AIIMS.
