After more than a month’s wait and anticipation, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to announce the NEET 2021 results today, October 29, 2021. The expectation for result declaration is escalating every minute, especially after the Supreme Court recently announced its verdict in favor of NTA. The apex court gave a nod to announce the results for 16 lakh candidates while postponing the verdict regarding the two Solapur students. With this verdict out, chances are that the NEET 2021 results will be declared today on neet.nta.nic.in. The National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2021 was held on September 12, 2021, across 3682 exam centres in the country. .
In an unprecedented scene of events, the Bombay High Court had directed the agency to conduct the NEET 2021 exam again for two students from Solapur. They had received the wrong question paper-answer sheet combination due to an invigilator’s mishap. The high court stated that NTA should conduct a fresh exam for both students and declare their results together with the others.
The agency did not provide any comment or clarification on a possible NEET 2021 re-exam. Subsequently, this issue was passed on to the Supreme Court which gave a nod to the announcement of results. Decision about the two students will be taken post Diwali. As of now, the court will issue a notice and file a counter. But, stalling the results for such a huge chunk of aspirants is not on the cards.
