NEET 2020, JEE Main 2020 New Exam Date To Be Out on 5 May; Know Time And Where To Check

India will be staying under COVID-19 lockdown until May 17, 2020. Hence, HRD Minister will go live to address students' queries on JEE Main, NEET and many other issues.

MHRD to Announce JEE Main, NEET New Dates Tomorrow

Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD) will be announcing new exam date for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test 2020 and Joint Entrance Examination Main 2020, on May 05, 2020. HRD minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal, is hosting an exclusive webinar to answer queries of JEE Main and NEET aspirants. The webinar will start at 12.00 noon and Nishank will go online via Twitter (@DrRPNishank) and Facebook (@cmnishank).

The minister made the announced in his twitter handle and also requested the students to keep on sending the queries via twitter, by using hashtag EducationMinisterGoesLive. The hashtag is getting good responses, were students are expressing concerns and every proving solutions.

In a 35 seconds video, he has informed that the ministry has acknowledge the pouring queries on the students will resolve it via the live session. In this, students will get answers to some of the basics questions like “When will JEE Mains be conducted?”, “What about NEET 2020?”, “Will we get time to prepare for our remaining board exam?”.

JEE Main 2020 was initially scheduled to be held on April 05, 07, 08, 09, 11 and the exam date for NEET 2020 was May 03. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown, both the national level exam were postponed.

Earlier, the ministry informed that the exam will be held in the last week of May. However, now that the national is under lockdown 3.0 until May 17, 2020, NEET and JEE Main are unlikely to be held in the month of May 2020. It is expected that both the exams will be held in the month of June now.

Around 15 lakh aspirants are expected to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and 11 lakh for Joint Entrance Examination Main. National Testing Agency (NTA) hold JEE Main in a computer based mode, whereas, NEET is a pen and paper based examination.

NEET 2020 is held in pen and paper mode and that makes it the only NTA held exam in offline mode. In the exam, students have to attempt 180 MCQs from biology, physics, and chemistry. Each question carries 4 marks which make the total marks in the exam as 720. For any incorrect answer, a negative marking of 1 marks is done.

JEE Main 2020 has 3 papers under it, these are B.E / B.Tech, B.Arch, and B.Plan. In all the papers MCQs and NVT type questions ate asked for 4 marks each. For any incorrect answers, there is a negative marking of 1 mark. In B.E / B.Tech there are 75 questions of 100 marks. The B.Arch paper will have 77 questions of 400 marks ad the B.Plan paper will be having 110 questions of 400 marks. JEE Main 2020 will be held in CBT mode only.
