JEE Main 2020 was initially scheduled to be held on April 05, 07, 08, 09, 11 and the exam date for NEET 2020 was May 03. However, due to the COVID-19 outbreak and lockdown, both the national level exam were postponed.

Earlier, the ministry informed that the exam will be held in the last week of May. However, now that the national is under lockdown 3.0 until May 17, 2020, NEET and JEE Main are unlikely to be held in the month of May 2020. It is expected that both the exams will be held in the month of June now.

Around 15 lakh aspirants are expected to appear for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test and 11 lakh for Joint Entrance Examination Main. National Testing Agency (NTA) hold JEE Main in a computer based mode, whereas, NEET is a pen and paper based examination.

NEET 2020 is held in pen and paper mode and that makes it the only NTA held exam in offline mode. In the exam, students have to attempt 180 MCQs from biology, physics, and chemistry. Each question carries 4 marks which make the total marks in the exam as 720. For any incorrect answer, a negative marking of 1 marks is done.
