National Aluminium Company Limited, also known as NALCO has published a recruitment notification for the post of Security Consultant. Ex-defence personnel with adequate experience are invited to apply for recruitment to the post available in the location of Odisha. A single opening has been advertised by NALCO for the post of Security Consultant. The incumbent appointed to the post have to monitor and ensure appropriate security measures by working closely with the CISF, State and local police and other central forces deployed in the area. The selected candidate will be appointed for an initial period of 03 years which can be shortened or extended as per requirements at the sole discretion of the management.
NALCO Security Consultant Recruitment 2020 Detailed Notification
The detailed notification states that “candidates retired in the rank of SP/Colonel or equivalent would be preferred”. However, one must have at least 20 years of experience in counter-insurgency, counter-terrorism or anti-Naxal operations in order to apply for the recruitment. In addition, such applicants must also have commanded an Operational Unit in the Indian Armed Forces, Para Military Forces, Central Armed Forces or State Police Forces in order to apply for the recruitment. Candidates must not be more than 62 years of age as on December 09, 2020.
As stated before, the appointment of the selected candidate is to be done on a contractual basis for an initial period of 3 years only. During this tenure, the candidates are paid the monthly consolidated salary of Rs 1.20 lakhs. In addition, the appointed candidate would be entitled to receive hoards of other benefits including company provided accommodation, local conveyance, telephone expenses, TA/DA for official tours, medical facilities for self and spouse, paid leaves and other perks and benefits as per the regulations of NALCO.
