Savitribai Phule Pune University is all set to conduct the Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH SET) 2021 examination tomorrow, September 26, 2021. Admit cards for the same have already been issued on the official website setexam.unipune.ac.in. Candidates who have registered for the state eligibility test must are instructed to download and take a printout of the exam today, September 25, 2021, itself. This to avoid any last-minute chaos or confusion.

MH SET 2021: Mistakes to avoid before and during the exam

With less than 24 hours for the MH SET 2021 examination, the pressure is escalating steadily. With the level of competition to face, there is no room for any mistakes. To help candidates given their paper in a calm and composed manner, here are some mistakes that they need to avoid –

# Starting a new or tricky topic at the last moment.

Eligibility tests or competitive exams tend to create a lot of pressure among students and MH SET 2021 exam is no exception to this fact. There’s a vast portion to cover and recollect during the exam. Under such stress, candidates spend the last day revising the entire portion. They develop this fear of missing out on an important concept. However, last-minute studies work out on rare occasions. Hence, candidates are advised to not tax themselves in the last few hours.

If they wish to study, candidates can either solve past-year question papers or mock exams. But, starting a whole new topic is never recommended. This will only clog and burden their brain, making them forget the knowledge they had developed so far.

# Spending too much time on one question.

In the MH SET 2021 examination, candidates will get 3 hours to solve 150 questions. Of course, the duration and questions are divided into Paper I and Paper II. Irrespective of this bifurcation, candidates should try to spend ONLY 30 seconds or a minute at most to solve the question. If the question is too tricky, move on to the next question and come back to the previous one later, if the time permits.

# Sleeping-in late before the exam day.

Apart from adequate preparation and sincere efforts, a good performance in the MH SET 2021 examination requires ample sleep and rest the day before. Enough amount of sleep can refresh a candidate’s mind, increasing his/her recalling capacity while attempting the paper. Moreover, a 3-hour long examination is enough to drain a candidate’s energy. To retain their energy throughout the exam, good night’s sleep is a must.

MH SET 2021: Previous-year question papers

To provide a last-minute encouragement and boost of confidence, candidates can skim through the questions asked in previous-year question papers. Solving these questions can help candidates understand where they stand in terms of preparation level. If they have sincerely studied for the exam, these papers will give them more confidence to appear for the MH SET 2021 examination.
