The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) is starting the NEET 2020 counselling today, October 27, 2020. Registration for counselling is opening today. Earlier, the counselling schedule, and brochure were released.

The first thing to note are the important dates for MCC NEET Counselling 2020 round 1. Registration, payment and choice filling can be done from today onwards. The last date for these is November 2, 2020 (5 pm). Payment can be done until 7 pm of the last date.
Choice filling can be done from October 28, 2020 to November 2, 2020 (11:59 pm). Choice locking will start on November 2, 2020 (4 pm) and end on the same day at 11:59 pm.
MCC will then announce the seat allotment result for first round on November 5, 2020.
Regarding registration process and fees for MCC NEET Counselling 2020
Only those candidates who have been declared as qualified as per the NEET 2020 result, by clearing the cut off can register for counselling. Such candidates need to go to mcc.nic.in, then click “UG Medical Counselling” link. On the next page, they have to click “New Registration”, and follow instructions that appear on the screen to submit their candidature.
Different types of fees need to be paid in this registration.

For deemed universities, candidates need to pay a non refundable registration fee of Rs 5000. Plus, they have to pay a refundable security amount of Rs 2 lakh.
For 15% All India Quota, Central Universities ie DU, AMU, BHU and Jamia Millia Islamia, Delhi, and AFMS & ESI, candidates have to pay a non refundable registration fee of Rs 1000 in case of UR candidates. SC, ST, OBC, PH need to pay Rs 500. Plus a refundable security amount of Rs 10,000 has to be paid by UR candidates, and Rs 5000 for SC, ST, OBC, PH.
Those who wish to apply for both AIQ and deemed university need not pay all fees. They need to pay the higher fee amount.
Security amount will be refunded after 15 days from the date of publication of refund details at mcc.nic.in.
The security fee in all cases will be forfeited (which means candidate will not get it back) if he or she is allotted a seat in the 2nd round and mop up round of DGHS, and does not join. Also the fee will be forfeited if candidate gives wrong information at the time of registration.
