Savitri Phule Pune University has recently released the new exam dates for Maharashtra SET 2020. As per the notice, MH-SET 220 exam is scheduled to take place on December 27, 2020. Aspirants who have successfully submitted their applications can appear for Maharashtra SET 2020 exam accordingly. Earlier, the examination for Maharashtra SET 2020 exam of Maharashtra and Goa state was scheduled for June 28, 2020. Call letters for the selected candidates were supposed to be released on June 18, 2020. However, due to the sudden outbreak of COVID-19, Savitri Phule Pune University (SPPU) postponed the exam. Now, with all the precautionary steps, SPPU is all set to conduct the exam in the month of December 2020. Aspirants are advised to resume their preparations.
Now that the new dates are announced, candidates can expect their Maharashtra SET admit card any time soon. If we look at the past trends, one can expect the call letters at least 10 days before the exam. So, candidates can expect their MH-SET admit card in the month of December 2020. The MH-SET 2020 admit card can be downloaded from setexam.unipune.ac.in. It can be downloaded using the email ID and password or by entering application number, gender, and date of birth.
The examination is expected to be conducted in two sessions. The first session is conducted for Paper 1 from 10 AM to 11 AM followed by the second session of Paper 1 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. Both the session is conducted as an offline examination i.e pen-paper mode. Paper 1 (first session) is conducted for 01 hours. It consists of 50 questions carrying 02 marks each. Similar to this, the second session is conducted for 02 hours. Candidates have to answer 100 questions and each question carries 02 marks. There is no negative marking in MH-SET exam 2020. Both the papers consist of objective questions where aspirants have to choose one option as the answer.
Savitri Phule Pune University conducts the exam for Maharashtra State Eligibility Test (MH-SET). Each year, this exam takes place to determine the eligibility of candidates for the post of Assistant Professor. A candidate who qualifies SET exam is eligible for Assistant Professor post in various universities and colleges across Maharashtra and Goa state. However, it is important to note that, unlike CSIR-NET, qualifying MH-SET exam makes a candidate eligible for only Assistant Professor and not Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Aspirants can apply only for Assistant Professor post that too of the particular state they have cleared the SET exam of.
