As per press reports, the online application form for Maharashtra class 11th admission 2021, or the FYJC CET 2021, will be available from today. Further, reports indicate that the exam date will be held on August 21, 2021. However, the state board is yet to make official announcement of the same.
Maharashtra School Education Board is all set to begin the 11th Class admission registration for academic session 2021-22. The board will conduct Common Entrance Test (CET) for First Year Junior College (FYJC) admission aspirants. Although, the test is optional but, priority would be given to those having CET score.
There will be no charges for FYJC CET 2021 registration for state board students as they had already paid the application fee for SSC exams 2021. However, students appearing from other boards have to pay Rs. 170 to register for the entrance test.
Maharashtra School Education Board will conduct the common entrance test for facilitating the admissions into class 11th this year. This is the first time that such an exam will take place. The decision in this regard was taken after the SSC exams were cancelled due to pandemic.
However, the entrance exam is an optional exam for 11th admission aspirants. If students wish to not appear for the Common Entrance Test, they can still apply for admissions. Nevertheless, according to the new guidelines, those who are appearing for CET 2021, they will be given priority for 11th admissions. The exam will be based on class 10th syllabus.
The admissions to class 11th will be based on merit as well as FYJC CET 2021 score. The online admission process for class 11th will take place zone wise, i.e. for Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Amravati, Nashik and Aurangabad, across all recognized Junior Colleges affiliated to the Maharashtra State Board. Further, admissions to Diploma, Polytechnic, and other short term courses will be based on class 10th merit.
Once it is opened, aspirants who have qualified the SSC or class 10th exams will be eligible to register on the official site 11thadmission.org.in. Similarly, they are eligible to appear for the 11th admission entrance test.
Earlier on July 17, MSBSHSE declared the SSC results of 16,58,624 students. The results were announced on the basis of internal assessment after the annual exams were cancelled. The result saw a spike in the pass percentage. Among the registered students for the SSC exams, 99.94% of boys cleared the class 10th exam whereas, 99.96% of girls declared passed in the 10th class.
