Tamil Nadu Education Board is all set to announce the Class 12 board exam results today, July 19, 2021, at 11:00 am. Results will be announced on the board’s official website tnresults.nic.in. Along with the state education board, the Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE) will also be publishing the results on their official website dge.tn.gov.in at 11:00 pm. This year, the Class 12 board exams were cancelled due to a surge in the number of COVID-19 cases. Therefore, to assess students, DGE took the performance of students in Class 10 and 11 into consideration as well.
To check their Class 12 results, it is imperative for candidates to use authentic and recognised websites. This year, the TN Class 12 board exam results will be published on four websites – 1. dge1.tn.nic.in, 2. dge2.tn.nic.in, 3. dge.tn.gov.in and 4. tnresults.nic.in.
To check their results, candidates must use the following steps –
Step 1: Visit one of the official websites mentioned above.
Step 2: On the homepage of the website, click on the Tamil Nadu Class 12 Result link.
Step 3: A new page shall open in which candidates must enter their credentials like roll number, date of birth, etc.
Step 4: After entering the credentials, submit the same to access the Class 12 results.
Step 5: Download or take a printout of the results for future use.
Apart from using official websites, candidates can also check their Class 12 board exam scores via the SMS facility. To do so, candidates must type TNBOARD12 along with their registration number and date of birth. Thereafter, they must send these details to one of the two official numbers – 09282232585 or 09282232585. After doing so, students shall get their scores as a reply in the form of an SMS.
Candidates can also use the Tamil Nadu board’s official app to check their results. Candidates have to follow these steps to download the app –
Step 1: Go to the Google Play Store and download the app
Step 2: Click on the “Tamil Nadu 12th Result 2021” option.
Step 3: Enter the roll number along with other required details.
Step 4: After entering the details, click on the “Get Result” option to view the results.
Step 5: Download or take a screenshot of the results for future reference.
This year, class 12 students could not appear for full-fledged board exams due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore to curate the results, the state education board has considered the performance of classes 10, 11 and 12 of a student for evaluation. 50% weightage has been given to Class 10, 30% to Class 11 and 20% weightage to Class 12 performance.
