Last date to apply for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2019 revised to 31 August, 5 pm

ITI job seekers can apply online for the 176 vacancies of Apprentice in IOCL.

IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2019

ITI apprentice jobs are in high demand with around 13,348 Industrial Training Institutes imparting training to 19 lakh youth in 126 trades in India. Recently concluded RRB ALP recruitment was one of the major government job opportunities for ITI candidates in recent times. Now, IOCL apprentice recruitment 2019 opens another door for ITI job seekers.

IOCL is conducting recruitment for the eastern region. A total of 176 vacancies are looked forward to being filled through this recruitment in the states of West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Assam. Job seekers who is matriculation (class 10) pass, and has completed two year ITI course in relevant discipline, can apply for the IOCL apprentice recruitment 2019. The revised last date to apply at iocl.com is August 31, 5 pm. 

Of the 176 vacancies, there are 69 for UR, 17 for EWS, 29 for SC, 16 for ST, and 38 for OBC. the various trade disciplines are fitter, electrician, electronic mechanic, instrument mechanic, machinist, mechanical to name a few. 

It is pertinent to note that candidates with a higher qualification such as BE, MBA, MCA, CA, ICWA, LLB will not be considered. It is also strictly advised not to try to hide a higher qualification.

There will be a written exam for the purpose of selection. The written test will have multiple choice questions on general aptitude including quantitative aptitude, reasoning abilities, basic english language skills. It will be required to score at least 40% for UR, and 35% for SC, ST, PWBD in order to qualify it. 

Indian Oil Corporation Ltd will publish list of candidates selected in written exam for document verification and pre-engagement medical fitness. Shortlisted candidates need to then check the date and time for the fitness test and arrive there with requisite documents for verification. At the time of verification, class 10 certificate, and latest caste certificate will be required.

In a related news, IOCL had to postpone the trade apprenticeship test phase II for IOCL (MD) Southern Region in Kerala and Cochin due to the floods. Its fresh date will be announced at iocl.com shortly.

IOCL apprentice recruitment 2019 applicants must also register themselves as an apprentice with the RDAT, Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training. Registration should be done with RDAT of respective state against which they are applying, or BOAT through the website apprenticeship.gov.in. Candidates applying for the recruitment also need to have PAN card, aadhaar card, bank account and cheque book with their names.

Last year the company recorded its second year being India’s most profitable state owned company. The foreign subsidiaries of IOCL are IndianOil Mauritius Ltd, and IOC Middle East FZE. IOCL is engaging apprentices as a ameasure of the Skill Building Initiative for the nation.
