Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is all set to begin the KCET 2022 registration process from today, April 12, 2022, onwards. The application process shall be conducted through the online mode, on the official website cetonline.karnataka.gov.in. Additionally, candidates can also use kea.kar.nic.in to access the application form. The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2022 examination will be held on three days – June 16, 17 and 18, 2022. This pen-and-paper based test shall be organised at selected centres across the state of Karnataka.
With the commencement of the KCET 2022 application process, candidates ought to know some important details to apply. Here are some important pointers to keep in mind –
# KCET 2022 – Subject-Wise Exam Date
The state examination authority has planned on conducting the KCET 2022 examination in the subject-wise manner. Accordingly, tests for Mathematics and Biology shall be held on June 16, 2022. Followed by the entrance test for Chemistry and Physics on June 17, 2022. Finally, the Kannada language test shall be organised on June 18, 2022.
Candidates applying for programmes like B.Pharm need to appear for PCB combination. Similarly, for B.Tech programmes, PCM is the applicable subject combination. As mentioned before, KCET 2022 will be organised through the OMR-based offline mode.
# KCET 2022 – Application Dates
Although the KCET 2022 notification released a while ago, the online application process was to begin on April 05, 2022. However, KEA issued a public notice on April 06, 2022, announcing the change in the registration schedule. Authorities had decided to postpone the registration process to April 12, 2022. However, the exact reason for doing so was not specified.
KEA is expected to release the KCET 2022 information bulletin while opening the application portal. So, candidates must keep an eye out for this document.
Interestingly, the deadline to apply for KCET 2022 has not been specified. It is, therefore, safe to assume that the application schedule shall be mentioned in the brochure in detail. Or a separate notice specifying the deadline will release at a later stage.

The exact list of documents required to apply for KCET 2022 is yet to come out. This list will be mentioned in the information bulletin released soon. Till such time, candidates can use keep their documents ready by referring to the tentative list given below –
- Class 12 admit card (if result is not announced)
- Class 10 mark sheet
- Aadhar Card & Number
- Birth certificate or proof of DOB
- Residential address details
- Caste certificate (if applicable)
- Scanned images of personal signature, parents’ signature and passport-size recently-clicked photographs
