Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has postponed the Karnataka PGCET 2021 exam and the notice for the same is been released on the official website, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
The Karnataka PGCET 2021 exam that was earlier scheduled on October 22 and October 23, 2021, now stands postponed and is going to be held in November 2021. The exam was scheduled to be held in multiple slots for admission in the Master’s programme. The exact exam dates of PGCET 2021 will be notified on the official website soon. The candidates are advised to keep a tab on the official website for the latest updates regarding the latest PGCET 2021 exam dates.
Along with the exam date, the authorities have also announced that the candidates aspiring to appear for DCET and PGCET 2021 can apply for the same from September 27, 2021, to October 03, 2021. The last date to pay the application fee is October 03, 2021.
The unreserved candidates aspiring to take up admission in the MCA, MBA, M.Tech programmes have to score at least 50% marks in the examination. While the ones who belong to SC/ST category have to score at least 45% of the total marks in the written exam to get admission to the higher-level programme.
According to the Karnataka PGCET 2021 (M.Tech) exam pattern, the exam will have 75 questions accounting for 100 marks. Out of the total questions, 50 questions will account for 1 mark while the remaining 25 questions will be held for 2 marks. The duration to complete the PGCET paper will be 150 minutes.
At the same time, the exam pattern for the MBA entrance exam will have 100 questions that will be held for 100 marks. The duration to complete the paper will be 150 minutes. The exam pattern for the Karnataka PGCET MCA exam comprises 80 questions accounting for 100 marks. The first 60 questions will carry one mark while the remaining 20 questions will carry 2 marks each. The time limit to complete the PGCET MCA exam is also 150 minutes.
Once, the exam is over the authorities will release the Karanataka PGCET 2021 final merit list and candidates who find names in it will be asked to appear in the counselling round as per their rank. Therein, they will be required to appear along with their major documents and post verification of the documents the candidates will be assigned respective colleges.
