Jawaharlal Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (JIPMER), Puducherry has published an official notification for the recruitment of 20 Computer Operators on a contract basis. Eligible and intending candidates are invited to apply online at jipmer.edu.in on or before 05.00 PM of September 18, 2020. Merit list of applicants shortlisted for interview/skill tests will be published on the website on September 21, 2020. The interview/skill test is scheduled to be conducted on September 23. 2020 from 08.00 AM onward at the Administrative Block of JIPMER, Puducherry.
The vacancies for the post of Computer Operator are to be filled up on a contractual basis for a period of 89 days from the date of joining. The contract term will not be extended. All vacancies are available under the TNMCHIS scheme. Appointed candidates are to be paid monthly consolidated salary of Rs 20000. However, no other allowance/benefits will be paid including PF, Gratuity etc.
Individuals having any degree and adequate Word Processing skills are eligible to apply for the post. One must have a typing speed of 8000 key depressions per hour. In addition, knowledge of working with MS Excel is also necessary. Candidates with DOEACC “O” level qualifications are preferred. The maximum age of the applicants must not be more than 20 years.
Selection of eligible applicants is to be done through Computer Skill Test and walk-in interviews. At the initial stage, eligible applicants are shortlisted as per academic performance from Class 10 to Qualifying Degree. Selection for Computer Skill Test is to be made on the ratio of 1:3 per vacancy. The test will be conducted in the English language only and comprise of two parts of 25 marks each. The first part is based on typing and word processing while the second part is based on MS Excel. It is qualifying in nature and must be completed within 10 minutes for each part. One must secure at least 25 marks in order to qualify.
Candidates must apply online at the official website i.e. jipmer.edu.in by paying an application fee of Rs 500. SC/ST candidates have to pay a fee of Rs 250 only. PWD candidates are exempted from the payment of any fees. Once online, candidates can pay the fees through SBI Collect page by selecting the correct recruitment. The payment receipt must be submitted along with the applications.
Once the payment is done, candidates can apply online by visiting the website or clicking on the direct link provided in the official notification. There is no necessity to send any hard copy of the application form. One must have a valid GMAIL login ID in order to register. Specified documents must be uploaded on the application form as a single PDF.
