Army Recruitment Office, Rohtak, is inviting applications for an army recruitment rally scheduled to be held at Rajiv Gandhi Sports Complex, Rohtak (Haryana). A detailed notification issued by the Indian Army at the official website joinindianamry.nic.in indicates that the rally is scheduled to be held from November 19 to 26, 2020. Eligible and intending male candidates domiciled in the districts of Rohtak, Jhajjar, Sonipat and Panipat are invited to register online starting September 20, 2020. The last date to register online is November 03, 2020. Admit cards for attending the rally is to be sent to the applicants through registered email from November 04, onward.
As per the detailed notification issued at the Indian Army website, there are vacancies for the posts of Soldier General Duty and Soldier Clerk/SKT. Eligible applicants who qualify through the rally and subsequent stages are invited to apply for the recruitment through the official Indian Army website. One must fulfil the specified eligibility conditions before applying.
The age of the applicants must be at least 17.5 years in order to apply. The upper age limit is fixed at 21 years for candidates applying for Soldier General Duty post and 23 years for Soldier Clerk/SKT post. Candidates who have passed Class 10 with 45% marks in aggregate and 33% in individual subjects are eligible to apply for the post of Soldier General Duty. On the other hand, one must have passed the Class 12th exam with 60% marks in aggregate in order to apply for the Soldier Clerk post. Candidates must have secured at least 50% marks in each subject in order to apply. It is mandatory to secure at least 50% marks in English and Maths/Accounts/Bookkeeping in order to apply.
It is important that applicants comply with the physical specifications before applying. Candidates must be at least 170 cm/162 cm tall and 50 Kg weight in order to apply for the respective posts. The minimum chest measurement must be 77 cm with at least 5 cm expansion capacity. Candidates are advised to refer to the official notification for the complete details of relaxations for those belonging to special reserved categories.
It is mandatory to appear at the rally site with the admit card as per schedule for initial selection. Physical Efficiency Tests such as 1.6 km run, Beam (pull-ups), 9 feet ditch and the zig-zag balance must be completed by participating candidates for initial selection. Candidates will also be measured for compliance with the specified physical measurements and a medical test will be conducted for final assessment and selection.
Those who qualify the rally round will be issued admit cards for a Common Entrance Exam (CEE) at the rally site. Location, date, and time of the written test can be checked from the admit card. Only those candidates who are declared FIT in the medical rounds are issued the admit cards at the rally site itself.
Candidates are requested to bring specified documents to the rally site. This includes the Admit card, 20 copies of recent passport sized photographs, educational certificates, domicile certificate, character and school character certificate and others to the rally site. Candidates are required to report to the gate of the rally site at 05.30 AM sharp on the days of the rally. The gate will close at 10.00 AM every day. There is no application fee involved although, it is mandatory that candidates apply through the website of the Indian Army before appearing in the rally.
