West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) has announced the JENPAS 2022 exam schedule for nursing and paramedical courses. As per the notice released, the examination will be held on May 15, 2022. For more details, candidates are advised to go through the official notification released on the official website, wbjeeb.nic.in.
The official schedule also mentioned the application form filling date which is from December 29, 2021, to January 13, 2022. Similarly, the correction window is going to be active from January 14 to 16, 2022. The admit card for JENPAS UG 2022 is going to be released on May 06, 2022. The final result for the examination is going to be released in the first week of June 2022.
JENPAS (Joint Entrance Test for Nursing, Paramedical & Allied Sciences –Undergraduate Courses) 2021 examination is held annually by WBJEEB to provide admissions to eligible candidates in prominent colleges offering courses in nursing and paramedics. The basic eligibility for the examination is having passed the class 12 exam with PCB as the main stream with minimum qualifying marks.
As per the previous year’s brochure of JENPAS 2022, the exam paper is going to have two sections. The first section will have questions from Physics and Chemistry, and the second section will have questions from Biological Sciences. Each section will have 50 questions totaling 100 marks. The questions asked in the examination will be both in the English and Bengali medium. Candidates will get 1.30 hours to complete the paper. The examination is going to be held offline and candidates have to mark the response on the OMR sheet. For each correct answer, 2 marks will be awarded and 25% marks will be deducted for the wrong answers.
Once the examination is over, the council will prepare a merit list by considering the students’ individual scores in the JENPAS 2022 examination. The council also follows tie-breaking rules to resolve equal scores between several candidates in the JENPAS 2022. The seat matrix shall be published on the official website and candidates have to register for the same beforehand. Once this is done, candidates are provided admission in the Nursing or Paramedical courses on the basis of the marks scored in the examination, based on the availability of seats and ranks attained in the examination.
