UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 has been officially postponed, as announced by the Joint Entrance Examination Council Uttar Pradesh (JEECUP) today, May 30, 2022. While a public notice has not been issued in this regard, the official website jeecup.admissions.nic.in has been updated with the postponement news. Furthermore, revised exam schedule shall be announced shortly.
Previously, the UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 was scheduled from June 06 to 12, 2022. Admit cards were to be issued to registered candidates yesterday, May 29, 2022. However, a delay in admit card release had already insinuated the likelihood of exam getting postponed.

Clearly announcement does not provide any clarity on the tentative exam date or reason for postponement. Candidates are advised to visit the official portal frequently to know the new UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 date.
UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 – Reason for Postponement
Earlier today, a leading Hindi daily of Uttar Pradesh had published a news report, informing about the postponement of UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022. Accordingly, both exam and counselling schedule have been revised by the council. So, the entrance exam scheduled in the first-second week of June 2022 will be scheduled at a later stage.
While the official website does not provide any reason behind UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 postponement, the report contains an important insight mentioned below –
Agency assigned to conduct the UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 had a conflict with the state examination council. So, a new tender agency has been shortlisted and hence, there is a change in exam schedule.
The report also claimed that revised UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 schedule shall be announced today itself. However, given the delay in announcing the postponement, new exam date may not come out today.

The UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022 is a state-level entrance exam scheduled in the computer-based format. All those who qualify the test will be eligible for admission to polytechnic institutes within the state.
As many as 2,67,139 candidates successfully registered for UP Polytechnic Entrance Exam 2022. This is however, considerably less than the 3,02,066 applicants registered in 2021. Due to less applicants, the registration deadline was extended twice and finally ended on May 05, 2022.
