The national testing agency (NTA) is going to release the JEE Main Paper 2 result 2021 soon for session 4. The JEE Main Paper 2 was held on August 26, 27 and August 31, 2021, and September 01 and 02, 2021. Now, the candidates are eagerly waiting for the JEE Main result and scorecard.
The candidates must keep a tab on the official website, jeemain.nta.nic.in for the latest updates regarding the JEE Main paper 2 results 2021. Once, the result and the scorecard is out, the candidates need to check the same using the application number and date of birth.
As per last year timeline, the JEE Main Paper 2 was held on September 01, 2020, and the result of the same was announced on September 18, 2020. With this, we can see that there was a gap of at least 19 to 20 days between the exam date and result date. Thus, we can assume that this year, the result for the exam is going to be announced on either September 21 or 22, 2021.
NTA conducts paper 1 and paper 2 for the engineering and architecture & planning aspirants respectively. The candidates who sit for paper 1 get admission in the various B.Tech/ B.E. courses in the engineering colleges. While those who opt for paper 2 are eligible to get admission in the B.Arch/B.Planning courses in the NITs, IIITs and other participating colleges.
If a candidate has opted to appear for more than one session in the JEE main paper 2, then he will get the marks scored in all the sessions. However, the final result will be prepared using the best score out of all the attempts.
The candidates who successfully qualify for the exam have to appear for the counselling session conducted by JoSAA later on. In the counselling round, they will be assigned colleges on the basis of the ranks that has been allotted as per the marks scored. Post counselling, the candidates have to complete the admission formalities in the assigned colleges.
As per the result for Paper 2, February session, only two candidates managed to score 100% percentile. Joysula Venkata Aditya and Jadhav Aditya Sunil from Telangana and Maharashtra state bagged the 100% score respectively.
According to the data released by NTA, around 63,065 candidates have registered themselves for JEE Main Paper 2. Out of the total aspirants, only 51,208 candidates that roughly accounts for 81.2% have appeared for the JEE Main Paper 2 exam this year.
The result of JEE Main Paper 1 has been announced today on the official website. Out of all the test-takers, only 44 students have scored 100 percentile and 18 students have been awarded the 1st rank.
