National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the application form correction facility for NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020. Now the last date to complete the form correction for both the exam is July 20, 2020. To do form correction candidates have to visit the respective websites of the exams, login, and access the edit application form link. JEE Main 2020 form correction can be done at jeemain.nta.nic.in and NEET form correction facility is open at ntaneet.nic.in.

For logging in application number and password of the respective exams have to be used.

On completing the required edits in the form the candidates have to submit the form and pay the extra application fee, as and if required. Lastly, the revised confirmation page must be downloaded.

Like every time, during this extended correction period, NTA is allowing the candidates to change all details in the application form. Exam center choice and preference can be also edited. The corrections in all fields of NEET form and JEE form must be submitted by 5:00 pm on July 20. The extra fee is applicable must be paid online by 11:50 pm on the same day.

To pay the correction fee candidates have to use the online modes of payment that include credit card / debit card / net banking / PAYTM / UPI.

JEE Main 2020 aspirants, who have also applied for NDA and NA Exam (I) conducted by UPSC, must note that both the exams will clash on September 6, 2020. To avoid the clash, such candidates have to update “Yes” in the application form correction window of JEE Main 2020 during this correction window. NTA will ensure that such students are not allotted September 6 as an exam date.

NTA has particularly emphasised on the fact that the scanned photo can be coloured or black / white. In the photo, 80% of the face of the candidate must be visible including both the ears. The photo must be clear and have good contrast.

The scanned images must be in JPEG / JPG format. The photo should not be with mask / caps / goggles. The polaroid or computer-generated photos will be rejected and so will be the application form. The size of the photo must be between 10 kb to 100 kb and the scanned signature must be sized between 4 kb to 30 kb.

Candidates must do correction in the forms by themselves. Correction requests via mail or fax is not accepted by the National Testing Agency.

JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 will be both conducted in the month of September. JEE Main 2020 will be held from September 01 to 06, 2020. On the other hand, NEET will be held on September 13, 2020. JEE Main will be held in computer-based test format and NEET on the other hand, will be held in pen and paper mode.

Unlike JEE Main 2020, NEET will not be held in the exam centers abroad. Students in social media have demanded NEET exam centers in Dubai too. They have argued if KEAM 2020 can be conducted in Dubai, then why not NEET. For this NTA, have already justified in the court that NEET cannot be held in offline mode internationally, especially in COVID-19. This is because around 16.84 lakh aspirants are going to appear for NEET which is India’s biggest and only medical entrance exam.
