National Testing Agency (NTA) will release JEE Main 2021 April admit card soon at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The 3rd phase of the national level engineering entrance exam will be held on 27, 28, 29, 30 Apr 2021. The admit card for the upcoming exam is expected to release this week or in the next one. The candidates will be able to download the JEE Main 2021 April hall ticket online only using their application number and date of birth / password.

For the last phase the admit card was released 5 days before the exam. However, for the Phase 1, NTA released it 12 days prior to the exam. Thus candidates will have to check the official website of Joint Entrance Examination – Main to keep track of the admit card release.

Apart from this, here are 7 important things to note about the admit card of JEE Main 2021:

#1. NTA might release multiple download links. For the last phase, 3 links were released for the admit card. All the links could be used for the download of the admit card. NTA releases more than one link to ensure that the site does not crash due to heavy traffic.

#2. The admit card of JEE Main downloads as a pdf. It is a 3 page pdf. Page 1 contains the centre details and self declaration (Undertaking) form regarding COVID-19. Page 2 has “Important instruction for candidates” and Page 3 has “Advisory for candidates regarding COVID-19”. The candidate has to download and carry all three pages.

#3. With the JEE Main 2021 hall ticket, a self declaration (Undertaking) is also issued. This must be downloaded from the NTA website and printed on an A4 sheet. All details in the undertaking must be duly filled in. Before reaching the Centre, candidates must enter required details in the form in legible handwriting, paste the Photograph and put a thumb impression at the appropriate place on the admit card. Candidates should ensure that their left-hand thumb Impression is clear and not smudged.

#4. The candidates who are to appear for JEE Main 2021 March session examination must carry a printout of the admit card, a passport size photograph same as the one uploaded in the application form, PwD certificate if applicable,  photo identification proof, and JEE Main 2021 Undertaking form / self-declaration.

#5. Candidates must reach the centre at the time as indicated against Reporting / Entry time at centre, in the admit card. After the gate closing time no candidate will be allowed inside the exam center.

#6. The exam center will be allotted to the candidates via their admit card. Candidates are advised to verify the location of the test venue, a day in advance so that they do not face any problem on the day of the test.

#7. Candidates must take care of the dress code too. On the admit card it has been mentioned that shoes / footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not permitted.

JEE Main stands for Joint Entrance Examination Main. It is one of the biggest engineering entrance examinations in India. NTA conducts it for admission of candidates in NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, etc., in B.Tech / B.E / B.Arch / B.Plan courses. Only eligible 10+2 qualified / appearing candidates can apply for the exam. Other than this, IITs also consider JEE Main a mandatory eligible for JEE Advanced examination. Only the top 2.5 lakh qualifiers of JEE Main are eligible to apply and appear for JEE Advanced and get admission in prestigious IITs.
