National Testing Agency has announced the exam date for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2020 for January and April exam. JEE Main 2020 schedule has been published today, on on August 21, 2019 in the form of the press release at nta.ac.in. As per it the JEE Main 2020 January exam is scheduled from January 06 to 11, 2020, whereas the April exam will be held from April 03 to 09, 2020.
The registration process for JEE Main 2020 for January exam will begin on September 02, 2019, and will continue till September 30, 2019. Similarly, for the April exam, registration process will start on February 07, 2020 and ends on March 07, 2020.

For India’s largest engineering entrance exam, NTA will invite applications in online mode at jeemain.nic.in. Students interested in pursuing engineering after 10+2 can fill the form in four simple steps comprising of registration, form filling, uploading of the image and fee payment.
Eligibility criteria, exam centres, application fee, and a plethora of other details will be published in the information brochure that will be released on the same day that application form submission begins. Before applying, students are advised to check the eligibility criteria and other exam related details. Going by the usual norm, students shall be considered eligible to apply for the engineering entrance exam for admission in academic session 2020-21 if they have passed class 12 or equivalent in the year 2018, 2019 or appearing for it in 2020.
JEE Main is for engineering as well as architecture aspirants. For the former, there will be paper by the name of paper 1, and the latter will appear in paper 2. Paper 1 is conducted for BE/B. Tech programme whereas paper 2 is conducted for B.Arch/B.Planning. Paper 1 is conducted in online mode only.
NTA is expected to conduct JEE Main in two shifts each day. The exam itself will be for three hours. Paper 1 will have questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each question is awarded 4 points. For the wrong answer, 1 marks will be deducted.
Paper 2 exam is conducted in partially online mode. The drawing section is pen and paper based, the other 2 sections are in online mode only. There are 3 sections in this paper – Mathematics, Aptitude Test, and Drawing. The marking scheme is similar to paper 1. Mathematics and Aptitude section holds 320 marks and Drawing holds 70 marks.
Joint Entrnce Examination (JEE) Main is a national level examination. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The exam is conducted twice a year. The exam is conducted for the admission in India’s most prestigious and elite university that offers engineering degree at under grsaduate level. Candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam are offered admissions in NIT, IIITS and GFTIs.
