NTA held JEE Main 2019 has started today, April 07, 2019 at 9:30 AM. The candidates of paper 2 are appearing for their exam today. On the first day, JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 exams are scheduled in 2 shift. The first shift started at 9:30 Am and will end at 12:30 PM. The second shift is to start at 2:30 PM and end at 5:30 PM.
The candidates are allowed in the exam center with their admit card and a valid photo ID proof. Paper 2 candidates are also allowed to take inside their own geometry boxes and colors to attempt the art 3 of the paper.
The JEE Main 2019 exam will be held over a period of 5 days. each day will have 2 shifts. The paper 2 exams are being held today and on the rest of the 4 days, the paper 1 exam is scheduled. The JEE Main 2019 exam dates are April 07, 08, 09, 10, and 12, 2019. The shift timing in each day is, shift 1 – 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and then shift 2 from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
The paper 2 exam is for admission in B.Arch/B.Plan courses at the IIITs, CFTIs, NITs and other institutes that take admission based on JEE Main 2019 paper 2 scores.
After the shift 1 is over the candidates are provided with memory based answer keys and questions. Shift 2 is starting from 2:30 PM and will end at 5:30 PM. NTA is going to upload the official answer keys 3-5 days after the exam is over. However, the question paper and response sheet are uploaded 2 days after the exam for all the days are over.
Candidates can check their responses in the exam and the questions by logging into their accounts using their JEE Main 2019 password/date of birth and application number.
After the examination is over, the shift wise analysis is also published for the candidates with analysis of the difficulty level and weightage if the sections.
JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 has a total of 390 marks. The paper has 3 parts. Part 1 is Mathematics and Part 2 is the Aptitude section. Part 3 is the drawing section. Part 1, Mathematics has 30 questions and is of 120 marks and the part 2 Aptitude has 50 questions of 200 marks. The Drawing section has 2 questions of 70 marks in all. The total duration of the exam is 3 hours. The exam is being held in the online mode only and however, the drawing section is to be attempted in the drawing sheets provided at the exam center.
