Into Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP) is inviting online applications from meritorious sportsperson for recruitment into 51 sports quota vacancies. A short recruitment notice has been released in this regard. Eligible candidates will be selected for appointment to the post of Constable (General Duty). Both male and female candidates can apply for the recruitment at the recruitment website of ITBP i.e. recruitment.itbpolice.nic.in. The online application process is starting on July 13, 2020, at 00.01 am. The last date to apply is August 26, 2020, until 11.59 pm. Candidates are advised to refer to the detailed advertisement available through the official website as stated above.
ITBP is recruiting candidates with excellence in the field of specific sports as indicated in the recruitment notification. Both male and female candidates having excellence in the sports of Boxing, Archery, and Sports Shooting can apply. Male candidates meritorious in the sports of Kabaddi and Ice Hockey are eligible to apply. Vacancies are also open for female candidates meritorious in the sports of Wrestling.
Candidates who are finally shortlisted will be appointed to the posts of Constable (General Duty) which are categorized as Group C Non-Gazetted and Non-Ministerial posts under the sports quota. Such candidates will be appointed at Level 3 of the 7th Central Pay Matrix. They will receive compensation in the pay scale of Rs 21,700-69,100.
The application process is strictly online and any other form of application is not entertained by the ITBP. Eligible and willing candidates have to apply through the official recruitment website of the Force as mentioned above. An application fee of Rs 100 must be paid by all unreserved and OBC male candidates during the procedure of applying online. Female candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST categories are exempted from paying the application fee.
It is important that candidates who are eligible as per the short notification regularly check the website of the ITBP for further updates. As per the short notification, any updates regarding the selection process and procedure to fill up the application form is to be communicated through the official website only. Candidates must note that the available vacancies are under the sports quota. Physically challenged candidates and ex-servicemen are not eligible for this particular recruitment of ITBP. The candidature of such candidates found ineligible at any later stage may not be considered by ITBP.
