All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi is going to conduct the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI CET) 2021 tomorrow, on November 20, 2020. The exam date is coinciding with Chhath Puja.
The Hindu festival celebrated with much pomp and joy, specifically by those from Bihar, Jharkhand, UP witnesses devotees going to riverbanks to perform their rituals. This year, owing to the pandemic, states including Delhi and West Bengal have put up some restrictions on the celebration of the festival. Though the extent to which the restrictions will be implemented and followed is as good as any.
Its impact on the INI CET aspirants will be limited, but could be significant for those in the states where the Chhath Puja will be most widely celebrated. There is bound to be heavy traffic on some routes. And candidates who have to reach exam centers will have to keep this in mind before starting from home.
The exam will be held from 9 AM onwards. Though the reporting time is as early as 7 AM. Candidates must check their admit cards for their exam centers, reporting time, and plan their travel judiciously.
Admit card for the examination was released on the official website i.e. aiimsexams.org on November 13, 2020.
Exam Day Guidelines and Dress Code for INI CET 2020-2021
Candidates appearing for INI CET are expected to follow a proper dress code for attending the entrance exam. The guidelines dictate that one dresses-up according to the weather conditions i.e. do not wear jackets or sweaters during the summers. Large buttons on dresses, shoes or footwear with thick soles and high heels are not permitted. Items like caps, scarfs, jackets, goggles, belts, wrist-bands, etc are strictly prohibited.
Those wearing religious or any particular attire are advised to report early at the centre for proper frisking. Candidates shall not be permitted to attend the exam in case they do not co-operate during the frisking procedure.
All candidates shall be subjected to frisking, biometric verification, electronic surveillance and other necessary procedures. Hence, they are advised to reach the exam centre an hour before the exam time. No entry shall be permitted once the exam begins. Candidates wearing religious attire or suffering from disability must reach early to the exam centre. Each candidate must present the required documents at the time of verification. No entry shall be permitted in the absence of necessary documents.
INI CET has replaced AIIMS PG 2021, JIPMER PG 2021, PGIMER 2021 and all other post-graduate entrance tests. Through this exam, candidates can pursue various postgraduate courses in the field of medicine.
Items To Take To Exam Center
Candidates are instructed to carry a clear and original print-out of INI CET 2021 Admit Card, a valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, PAN Card or Driver’s License) and a curfew pass, if applicable. Electronic items like mobile phones, pagers, calculators, Bluetooth devices, etc, wristwatches, clocks, stationery, any study material or books are all strictly prohibited within the examination premises. A disciplinary action shall be taken in case a candidate fails to comply with the rules.
INI CET 2021 candidates must note that return of admit card post the examination is mandatory. They must return the admit card to the respective invigilators to mark their attendance. Failure to do so may result in non-evaluation of answers. IN CET 2021 is a computer-based exam containing Multiple Choice Questions. Hence, candidates must only mark the correct answers without using the keyboard. They must also note that questions marked for ‘review’ shall not be evaluated.
