IIT Roorkee the conducting body of JEE Advanced 2019, has uploaded the mock tests for the CBT based JEE Advanced 2019 examination. The candidates can find the free mock tests over the official website of JEE Advanced 2019, jeeadv.ac.in.
The mock tests uploaded by the IIT is for the reference of the candidates so that they can familiarise themselves with the real exam environment. They may not exhibit the exact JEE Advanced 2019 question papers.
However, they can be used to practice as per the real exam pattern. Recently IIT Roorkee had announced the JEE Advanced 2019 Registration dates and all other important dates of the national level exam for admission in the IITs.
The application process to apply for JEE Advanced 2019 with the JEE main 2019 scores is starting from May 03, 2019. The last date to apply is May 09, 2019. The JEE Main 2019 AIR will come out on April 30, 2019.
The top 2 lakh something candidates become eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2019. The scorecard of JEE Main 2019 will have the qualifying status of the candidates and if they are eligible to apply for the JEE Advanced 2019 exam, they need to register for the same from the scheduled date.
Mock tests of JEE Advanced 2019 have been made available for the candidates to practice for the exam. The candidates need no registration to access these online tests.
The mock tests allow the candidates familiarise with the online exam interface and how to go about the various instructions even before the exam day. This helps the candidates save effort on the exam day understanding the what and hows of the CBT model.
JEE Advanced has no fixed exam pattern. The marking schemes changes and so is the distribution of the questions in the sections. The same is revealed at the time of the exam. However, from the past year pattern, it is usually seen that for correct answers +4/+3 marks are awarded and for wrong answers usually -2/-1 marks are deducted.
In addition to that, there are a few ‘match the following’ type questions. The questions in each section range from 4 to 8.
The exam is of a total 3 hours duration, a clock depicting the time left for the exam is made available on the computer screen of the candidates. The candidates can thus use the mock tests to know all the features of the JEE Advanced 2019 CBT.
