IIT Placement 2018: Salary Package Goes Beyond 25 Lac; Total 3000 Jobs Offered In First Three Days of Placement

IIT Placement 2018_ Salary Package Goes Beyond 25 Lac

IITs placement season has been started. And in the first three days of placement IIT’s has set a new record as compared to the last year. As per the reports, this came to know that total 3000 jobs have been offered to the IITians in just three days. Students from all IITs such as Madras, Delhi, Mumbai, Kharagpur, Roorkee and many more get placed in a large number. This results in the increase in the growth percentage as well.

IIT Madras has offered total 680 jobs in the first three days of the ongoing placement season. While IIT Delhi has offered total 500 jobs. IIT Mumbai, Roorkee and Kharagpur also not lag behind in the race of providing the offers. More than 500 jobs have been provided from other IITs too. Considering all the figures it is evaluated that total 30% increase in the growth of the students as compared to the last year.

IITians have offered the annual package of Rs. 25 lakhs or more than it from the top companies. While the International offered the annual package of Rs 45 lakh to Rs. 1.5 crore. IIT Bombay has said that the range of the annual package is increased. At the same time, IIT’s also decided not to disclose the salary details to avoid the competition among the different institutes.

Top companies like McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, taxi aggregator Uber, tech majors Microsoft, Google, Intel, and Qualcomm, financial companies, including Goldman Sachs, US-based data management firm Rubrix, CBS Techno and SMS Datatech from Japan, consumer goods firm ITC, General Electric, and start-up Oyo Rooms etc have provided jobs across all IIT campuses.

At IIT Delhi, 45% of jobs are being offered from the core engineering sector including 24% from Information Technology and 11% from consulting. The officer from IIT Delhi has said that this will continue till the next two weeks.

At IIT Madras total 37% of jobs offers from core and R&D sectors. 33% from analytics, finance and consulting sector firms. At the same time total 13 international offers have been received. On the third day of the placement season, 20 start-ups have made total 78 offers.
