Indian Institute of Geo Magnetism has published a latest recruitment notification at the official website iigm.res.in. The autonomous institute is inviting applications from adequately qualified candidates to fill up 11 vacancies. The vacancies are for posts including that of Professor, Reader and Driver. Eligible and intending candidates can read the detailed advertisement at the official website and apply for the recruitment on or before January 15, 2021. The application form can be downloaded from the official website or obtained from the Institute’s office by paying the application fee.
There is a single vacancy available for the post of Professor while 03 vacancies are available for the posts of Reader. The vacancy for Professor is to be filled up on a temporary basis. Similarly, there are 02 vacancies are available for the post of Fellow in the institute and 02 vacancies are also available for the post of Senior Technical Assistant. The post of Senior Hindi Translator is to be filled up on Deputation basis and only 01 vacancy is available for this post. In addition, there are 02 vacancies available for the post of Driver as well.
IIGM Recruitment 2020 For Professor & Other Posts Detailed Advertisement
In order to apply for the post of Professor, candidates must have a First Class Master’s degree in Physics with at least 15 years of relevant experience. In addition, applicants must be within the maximum age of 45 years. Those who within the maximum age of 40 years and have a first class Master’s degree in Physics or a Doctorate degree with 2 years of relevant experience are eligible to apply for the post of Reader.
Candidates must be holding a first class Master’s degree in Physics/Geophysics in order to apply for the post of Fellow. Those who have a Master’d degree in Mathematics (Applied and Pure)/Computer Science are also eligible. The maximum permissible age to apply for this post is years.
Candidates within the maximum age of 30 years and having a first or high second class M.Sc. degree in Physics/Pure Maths/Applied Maths or Physics/Electronics/Geophysics can apply for the post of Senior Technical Assistant. For the post of Senior Hindi Translator, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject. The maximum permissible age to apply for this post is 56 years.
For the post of Driver, candidates must have a valid Driving License to drive Light/Medium Vehicle for Transportation of Passengers. Candidates must have passed Class 10 and have 2 years or more of driving experience, preferably from North East region or having experience in driving in hilly areas.
An application fee of Rs 300 must be paid by Demand Draft in favour of the IIGM, New Panvel. Candidates can obtain the application form from the office of the Admin.
