Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) MBA entrance exam has been conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) today. As per complaints posted on some social media threads, the It was a two-hour long examination which started from 10 AM and ended at 12 PM. Reports say that more than 30,000 candidates have appeared for the entrance examination this year.
IIFT 2022 Analysis of Exam Held on 5 Dec 2021
As per candidates, the GK questions were tougher than usual in the IIFT 2022 MBA entrance exam held on 5 Dec 2021. There were almost no questions on headquarters, currency, CEOs, which usually come in IIFT MBA entrance exam. GK section had a variety of questions. Also, DI section was lengthy. Quant was moderately difficult, however some questions required lot of time to solve. As per MBA coaching centers, the cut offs are expected to remain more or less similar to last year.

IIFT 2022 Analysis of Quant Section
- Lengthy questions. It was not a simple paper. But it was not too tough.
- There were a lot of Artithmetic questions.
- Speed time distance- 2 questions
- Time and work – 1 question
- Simple interest – 1 question
- Algebra was easy
- Set theory – there was 1 question, it was easy.
IIFT 2022 Analysis of GK Section
- There were 2 Match the following questions, both easy
- One was on games, this was a little difficult
- One question was on BRICS Summit – it was easy. Answer is India.
- There was a question on airways – logo of Egyptian airways
- Many questions were on government based current affairs
- One was on continent with most countries
- GK questions in IIFT 2022 were unexpected.
IIFT 2022 Analysis of DILR Section
- LR was tougher than last year. it was slightly tougher than CAT as well.
- DI was very easy but calculation intensive.
- In DI there was one question with pie chart, one on bar graph, and one on line graph.
- In LR, there was a question with blood relation.
- As per candidates, there was one question in DILR from CAT 2019 exam.

IIFT 2022 Analysis of VARC Section
- RC was lengthy.
- VARC – VA very easy. RC was too lengthy.
- The length of RCs was especially troublesome as candidates had to scroll up and down to read it on the computer screen; this made finding the answers a little tedious.
- Candidates who have a fast reading speed, and grasping ability, could have done this section well.
Note that in IIFT MBA entrance exam, there are sectional cut off as well as overall cut offs. Last year, the sectional and overall cut offs were as follows.

Candidates must note that the official answer keys are likely to be released soon on iift.nta.nic.in. Once released, the keys will be accessible and examinees can also submit objections (if any) against the provisional answer keys. For that, they have to deposit a fee of Rs 200 for each question.
Prior to the declaration of the results for the IIFT 2021-2022 MBA entrance exam, NTA will release the question papers that the candidates have attempted. These recorded responses are likely to be available for three days. After receiving the objections from the candidates, NTA will release the final answer key after which the results will be declared.
