The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has conducted the IIFT MBA (IB) 2019 entrance examination on December 02, 2018. The entrance exam was conducted in a single session from 10:00 AM till 12:00 PM. The students had to report at the test center for the entrance exam by 09:00 AM. As per the reports, the students faced no issues at the test center.

The IIFT entrance exam 2019 was a pen-paper based test, which had MCQ type questions. The test was of 03 hours duration. The question paper was divided into three sections. Section I had questions from General Awareness (26 MCQs), Section II had questions from topics such as English Usage (20 MCQs), and Reading Comprehension (17 MCQs), Section III had questions from Logical Reasoning (20 MCQs), and Data Interpretation (15 MCQs), and Section IV had questions from Quantitative Ability (20 MCQs).

Now, that the exam has been conducted successfully, the students must be curious to know the exam analysis of the test. On the basis of the exam analysis, they can estimate the chances of qualifying the test, and the expected cut off for IIFT 2019. There was no change in the exam pattern, marking scheme, hence, there were no major surprises this year for the IIFT entrance exam 2019.

Section I which was General Awareness was of Moderate difficulty level. If a candidate was well-versed with the current affairs, s/he can score marks easily in this section. Questions asked in this question were normal and not at all difficult.

The students have said that Section II was of Moderate difficulty level. There were 5 passeges in the Reading Comprehension section, which were long but if the candidates would have studied and understood the questions properly, they may not find it much difficult. Hence it was a doable section and candidates can score marks in this section.

Majority of the students have commented that in Section III, Logical Reasoning was easy, whereas, Data Interpretation was difficult. There were 05 questions from DI which were more of Calculation type and tricky. Also, there were questions from the topic Sets, which were easy to solve. Logical Reasoning had 4 questions from the Puzzle which were also easy to solve. The easiest section amongst all was only Logical Reasoning.

Quantitative Aptitude was the most difficult in comparison to the other sections. The same was said for the CAT exam, in which, surprisingly Quantitative was the most difficult section.

Overall, it can be said that the IIFT exam 2019 was of Moderate difficulty level.

IIFT entrance exam is a national level test. The exam is held every year by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade for admission in MBA (International Business). Now, that the exam is conducted, there are various coaching Institutes which will release the Answer Key for IIFT 2019.
