Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the last date of fresh admission and re-registration for the July 2021 session by 16 days, till July 31, 2021. With this notice, aspirants get a fortnight more to register for fresh admissions and re-register for second/third-year admissions at IGNOU till July end.
The extension in dates have been announced by the varsity via twitter. Before this, the last date for July session admission into IGNOU was July 15, 2021.

To register for new admission, candidates need to visit the IGNOU admission portal at ignouadmission.samarth.edu.in whereas, for re-registration, another portal has been set as ignou.samarth.edu.in.
In both the processes, candidates will have to fill in their personal and academic details. They will have to upload the scanned documents like photo, signature, matric certificate, intermediate or 10+2, age proof, to complete the registration.
It is suggested to the candidates that before proceeding with filling the form online the applicant must resize their documents in the required size and format. After entering the details and uploading the required documents, candidates will have to pay the admission fee. The fee can be paid using a credit card, debit card, or net banking.
The re-registration portal is for those students registering for the next year/ semester of a particular programme. For the re-registration student’s enrollment number and programme code are required. Students will have to choose their subjects for the next academic session and also will have to make a payment of the course fee. The payment should be made on or before the last date which has been now extended up to July 31.
It may be noted that this is not the first extension of last date. Earlier, the last date to apply was May 31, 2021. Any further extensions in date seem unlikely. Hence anyone who has not applied, and wishes to do so, should take this opportunity as it may be the last one.
