IDP Education limited has announced the dates for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) that is scheduled to be held in October 2021. As per the official website – ieltsidpindia.com, the upcoming examination is going to start on October 23 and end on, November 11, 2021. IELTS is a very popular English language test that is designed to assess the language abilities of a candidate.
The English language test is available in both pen paper and computer-based modes. To check the IELTS exam dates for October 2021, take a look at the following steps.
Step 1- Visit the official website of IDP IELTS – ieltsidpindia.com
Step 2- On the panel that appears on the screen, click on the arrow beside the ‘Register for IELTS’ menu
Step 3- Now, click on ‘IELTS test dates’ after which a new page will open
Step 4- Scroll below the page and click on the preferred city
Step 5- Check the test date, test type and the required fees
Step 6- To submit a registration, click on the ‘Book Now’ button under the ‘Action’ tab and follow the next steps.
The IELTS regular test fee is Rs 14,700. However, the fees varies for IELTS for UKVI and Life Skills. One can pay the required test fee via online methods such as debit/credit card, netbanking or bank deposit. From July 25, 2021, IDP has been granted the sole authority of managing all IELTS testing in the country. More than 10,000 organisations in 140 countries now accept the IELTS test. It is also recognized by various universities and employers in countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the US and UK.
The test is taken by students who desire to study abroad, especially in English-speaking countries to approve their language proficiency. Similarly, it is also approved by professional bodies and employers from fields such as law, engineering, nursing, teaching, etc. IELTS is now a mandatory test for immigrants who plan to migrate to an English-speaking country. The test structure contains two modules. The first module is general training while the second is academic.
IELTS test format contains four modules namely listening, reading, writing and speaking. While listening, reading and writing fall on the same day, speaking may or may not fall on the same day. The test takers have the liberty to book a slot based on their preferred date and time. The duration for each of the four modules is: listening – 30 minutes, reading – 60 minutes, writing – 60 minutes and speaking – 11-14 minutes. As such, the total duration of the test is 2 hours and 45 minutes.
