ICAR Central Institute For Cotton Research (ICAR CICR) is inviting applications to fill up vacancies for the posts of Young Professional – 1 and 2. The institute has published a detailed recruitment notification at cicr.org.in indicating the availability of 06 vacancies for the aforementioned post on a contractual basis. Selection of eligible candidates is to be done through walk-in interviews. Eligible and intending candidates have to appear in the interview scheduled to be held on September 08, 2020, from 10.00 AM onward. Candidates do not need to apply separately but report to the interview venue with the applications as per schedule.
As per the detailed recruitment notification published by the institute, there are 03 vacancies available for the post of Young Professional I and 03 more for the post of Young Professional II. All of the vacancies are to be filled up on a contractual basis. Selected applicants who are appointed to the aforementioned vacant positions are entitled to receive a monthly fixed salary as per the specifications laid down. Candidates appointed to the post of Young Professional I are entitled to a monthly salary of Rs 15000. On the other hand, candidates appointed to the post of Young Professional II are entitled to receive a monthly salary of Rs 25000. The scheme of the project under which the vacancies are available is valid up to March 31, 2021.
Candidates must ensure that they fulfil the specified minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. Candidates applying for the post of Young Professional I must have a B.Sc. degree in (Agriculture)/Life Sciences and adequate working knowledge of Computers. On the other hand, candidates intending to apply for the post of Young Professional II must have a qualifications as specified for each discipline. For the discipline of Agriculture Entomology, candidates need an M.Sc degree in Agri. Entomology/Plant Pathology/Nematology or relevant basic sciences. For the discipline of plant pathology, candidates need an M.Sc. degree in Plant Pathology/Nematology/Biotechnology or relevant basis sciences. Candidates applying for the discipline of Plant Breeding must have a M.Sc. degree in Plant Breeding/Genetics/Biotechnology or relevant basis sciences. For all the posts, it is desirable to have adequate working knowledge of computer applications especially of the excel program.
Selection of eligible candidates is to be done through the walk-in interviews. Candidates selected and appointed must know that the posts are temporary and they cannot claim any permanent employment after the employment term is over. A written test of one hour duration will also be held on the day of the walk-ins for the selection and shortlisting of eligible candidates.
Along with recruitment applications, candidates must report to the interview venue as per schedule with the original supporting documents and their self-attested photocopies. These must be enclosed along with the applications in addition to Employment Exchange Card and recent passport-sized photographs.
