ICAR- Central Island Agricultural Research Institute is conducting a recruitment drive to fill up the vacant posts of Field Assistant. As per the notification, the conducting body has announced only 01 vacancies for the said post. The walk-in-interview for Field Assistant recruitment is scheduled to be held on September 22, 2020, at 11:00 AM. The post that is advertised is purely on a temporary basis. Candidates who are recruited as Field Assistant in ICAR- CIARI is appointed on contractual terms. Once the contract period is over, there is no provision for the re-engagement of candidates. The post of Field Assistant is announced under the project titled “Humpsore treatment by Trimodel therapy to improve the production and reproduction performance of milch cows in South Andaman”. The duration of the recruitment starts from the date of joining until the completion of the project.
The newly appointed Field Assistant have to arrange field survey, data collection, farm work and routine field visit as per the instructions give by the project in-charge. They will be posted at South Andaman anywhere near the island as per the requirement of the project. During their service period, Field Assistant get Rs. 15,000/- as the monthly salary.
Eligible candidates have to appear for the interview as per the schedule at Central Island Agricultural Research Institute Garacharma, Port Blair. Applicants are advised to report at the centre one hour before the scheduled time on the date of interview. It is mandatory for them to bring one complete copy of the self-attested certificate and original documents. These documents include educational qualification certificate and mark sheets, work experience, the publication if any. The official notification does not dicussess submission of application. Moreover, no travel allowance or dearness allowance is paid to candidates for attending the interview.
Only those applicants will be allowed to appear for the interview who are eligible as per the prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates who have passed 10+2 can appear for the interview. They should possess work experience in the veterinary field. Moreover, ICAR- CIARI has also specified the age limit for recruitment. Aspirant’s age should not be less than that of 20 years and more than 40 years to apply for Field Assistant post.
