Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, is organizing online counselling for UG, PG, PhD admissions 2019-2020. UG admissions are offered to Bachelor degree programmes to 15% seats (100% seats at ICAR-NDRI, Karnal, RLBCAU, Jhansi and Dr. RPCAU, Pusa), PG to PG degree programmes to 25% seats (100% seats of ICAR-DUs, RLBCAU, Jhansi and Dr. RPCAU, Pusa), and PhD to Ph.D. degree programmes to 25% seats (100% seats of Dr. RPCAU Pusa and ICAR-IVRI).
All admissions are through ICAR’s AIEEA UG 2019, AIEEA PG 2019, and AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS) 2019 respectively. The exams were held by National Testing Agency (NTA).
For the purpose of counselling, applicant login is available at icarexam.net. ICAR opened the online registration for counselling, display of seat matrix to candidates, as well as choice filling and saving of the same on Friday. The last date to register is July 30, 2019. Application fee is Rs 400.
Students seeking admission to UG, PG, and PhD courses will get the first round allotment results on August 1. Thereafter those who get a seat must report to universities and undergo document verification, fees deposit, and get admission letter during August 2 to August 6.
The second round seat allotment results will come on August 8. Reporting to the university and admission formalities for candidates who get seat through it shall take place from August 9 to August 14.
Third and final round allotments will be disclosed on August 17. Admission formalities for last round allotted students will be from August 18 to August 22. Upgradation will be allowed in first and second rounds.
Such students who obtained zero or negative marks in the All India Entrance Examination for Admission cannot participate in the counselling process.
For the admission process, class 10 and class 12 related certificates, marksheets, transfer certificate or school leaving certificate, character certificate will be required. SC, ST, OBC, EWS candidates should have relevant category certificate. Likewise physically challenged candidates should have medical certificate issued by medical officer of government hospital.
ICAR issued e-admit card, online application form, letter issued to eligible candidates will also be needed. In addition, 3 passport size photographs with name and date (same as uploaded in form) should be brought.
Domicile certificate is another important document for admission.
Aadhaar card, or 28 digit aadhaar enrolment ID proof, or passport, or ration card, or bank passbook, or any other such govt identity proof will also be required.

Previous year ranks with cut offs displayed at checkadmission.com
Under the “latest news” section at icarexam.net, one can see “Click here to check previous year ranks (with cutoffs) at which admission was given in various courses of AIEEA UG / PG / SRF.” This leads to checkadmission.com, where past year ICAR AIEEA UG, PG, SRF cut offs are placed.
Here one has to select course, year, category, enter rank. This displays universities, domicile required, opening rank, closing rank, opening marks, closing marks.
NTA had conducted ICAR AIEEA UG, PG, SRF PGS 2019 on July 1, at 796 centres in India. The score card (result) was declared on July 17 at ntaicar.nic.in.
ICAR is the organization in India that looks after and promotes agricultural research and education in the country. The ICAR-AU system comprises of 75 agricultural universities, 64 state agricultural, veterinary, horticultural and fisheries universities (SAUs), 4 ICAR-DUs (IARI, IVRI, NDRI, CIFE).
