Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) released the official advertisement notification yesterday, June 10, 2021, of the Regional Rural Bank (RRB) vacancies 2021. The notification was also published on the official website ibps.in. Accordingly, a total of 43 RRBs are participating in the recruitment process. The selection process is being conducted for the recruitment of Group ‘A’ officers and Group ‘B’ Office Assistants (Multipurpose). Online exams – preliminary and mains, are likely to be conducted in August, September or October 2021. Interested candidates are advised to complete the application formalities as soon as possible on the official website.
The IBPS RRB 2021 recruitment examination comprises of two phases or tiers – preliminary and mains. Both exams shall be conducted through the online mode. For the Office Assistant (Multipurpose) post, candidates who qualify the prelims exam will be required to appear for the mains exams. Based on their performance in the second exam and the number of vacancies, candidates shall be provisionally allotted marks.
The recruitment process for Group ‘A’ officers, the process is slightly more complex. This recruitment segment is further divided into three scales, namely Scale I, Scale II and Scale III. Scale I officers must qualify the prelims and mains exams to be called for a common interview round. This round shall be conducted by the Nodal Regional Rural banks. The interviews will be conducted in association with the National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and IBPS.
The Scale II officers shall comprise of generalists and specialists. This scale along with Scale III aspirants are required to give the Single Online Examination. Based on their performance, shortlisted candidates will be called for a Common Interview round conducted by same set of authorities as mentioned for Scale I. Interested and eligible aspirants are advised to read the detailed advertisement carefully before starting the application process. Furthermore, candidates can apply for both posts, namely Office Assistant and Officer, during the application process.
Before beginning the IBPS RRB 2021 registration process, candidates must keep scanned copies of certain important documents ready. These include photograph, signature, left thumb impression and a hand-written declaration. The declaration must be written in candidate’s handwriting and in the English language. In case the declaration is written in any other person’s handwriting, the candidate’s application shall be considered invalid.
Along with these pre-requisites and registration formalities, candidates are also required to pay a certain application fee. This fee has to to be paid on any one day from June 08 to 28, 2021 through the online mode. For the Officer’s post (Scale I, II, III), the application fee is Rs.175 for SC, ST, PwD candidates. However, for general category candidates, the application fee is Rs. 850.
The same application fee charges are applicable for Office Assistant (Multipurpose) post. Additionally, candidates belonging to the EXSM category must also pay Rs.175. The payment can be made via online modes such as Debit Cards, Credit Cards, Internet Banking, Mobile Wallet, etc. On successful transaction, an e-receipt shall be generated. Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-receipt along with online form mentioning the fee details.
