The Board of School Education Haryana (BSEH) has released a notification regarding the court hearing of candidates caught doing malpractices during the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2021. The official notification regarding the same is available on the official website of BSEH bseh.org.in.
The public notice issued by the examination commissioner states that the hearing of those candidates booked under Unfair Means Case(UMC) will be held on January 20, 2022 at the headquarters of BSEH from 9:30 am. The Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test was conducted in December 2021. Cases were registered against candidates on the basis of the CCTV visuals recorded at the examination centers and about 64 candidates have been found guilty of committing malpractices during the conduct of the examination. The list of the candidates are published in the official website of BSEH.

The candidates who are called for the hearing have been notified personally through SMS.
An Unfair Means Case is registered against those candidates who do not follow the code of conduct during examination and resort to various unfair means in the examination hall. Instructions to be followed on the day of exam are usually published along with the admit card and writing the exam fairly has been a long followed mandatory rule. Flouting the same has often resulted in the debarment of candidates committing the same. Some of the practices which come under UMC are seeking help from anyone, possession of materials to copy, talking in the examination hall and any other forms of misconduct or disobedience which goes against the general conduct of the examination. The candidates committing any of these and the other guidelines are usually booked under UMC and subjected to further procedures as prescribed by the respective boards that conduct the examination.
However, it must be noted that any candidate who feels that they have been subjected to the punishment unfairly can appeal within a span of 30 days for the reversal of the decision. The grievance should be addressed to the secretary of BSEH who shall put the appeal before the standing committee for revision if they feel the case to be genuine. In any case, the candidate will be notified about the same.
The result of the HTET examination is likely to be published by the fourth week of January after the hearing procedures are complete.
