Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) is inviting online applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill up 256 vacancies for the post of Civil Judge (Junior Division). The Commission has released a detailed recruitment notification in this regard at the official website hpsc.gov.in. Eligible and intending candidates can apply online starting from today i.e. January 15, 2021. The last date to submit online applications and pay the fees online is February 15, 2021 till 11.55 PM. The Commission is going to conduct two stages of examination i.e. Prelims & Mains and thereafter an interview for final selection of the candidates.
As per the official notification, the total number of vacancies include 239 actual vacancies and 17 anticipated vacancies. The vacancies are available in the Haryana Civil Service (Judicial Branch). Selected candidates are to be appointed in the pay scale of Rs 27700-770-33090-920-40450-1080-44770. However, applicants must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as specified by the HPSC in the detailed notification.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and nor more than 42 years of age as on the last date to apply for the recruitment. However, candidates belonging to special reserved categories are eligible for relaxations on the upper age limit as per government norms in vogue. Candidates can check the age relaxation norms in the official notification.
Applicants must be Indian Nationals/citizens of Nepal/a subject of Bhutan or fulfil the other nationality criteria established by the Commission. In addition, one must be adequately qualified for recruitment to the aforementioned post. All applicants are therefore required to hold a Bachelor degree in Law obtained from an University approved by the Bar Council of India. This means that the candidates must be enrolled as an Advocate under the Advocate Act, 1961.
Selection of the eligible applicants is to be done through a three stage selection process consisting of the Preliminary exam, Mains exam and the final interview. Those who qualify in the Prelims will be eligible to appear in the Mains. Similarly, candidates have to qualify in the Main exam in order to become eligible for selection through the final interview. Applications can only be submitted online through the official website of the Haryana Public Service Commission as per schedule indicated by the Commission in the official notification. Candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 1000 (for General Male candidates, Dependents of ESM of Haryana and EWS). The application fee for all female candidates, SC/BC-A & B/ESM category of Haryana is Rs 250. PWD candidates are completely exempted from the payment of any application fee.
