Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HPBOSE) announced HP TET Arts Result 2018 today on 31 Oct 2018 at 7:30 PM at hpbose.org. The result has been put up at official website for all candidates who had appeared for the exam to check online. This marks the end of Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) 2018 process.
In order to check result, candidates need to visit official website hpbose.org. There they can navigate to HP TET Arts Result 2018 link. Then one has to log in with either roll number or application number.
The board had conducted Himachal Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (HP TET) 2018 for TGT Arts, JBT, Punjabi, Shastri, Language Teacher, Non Medical, Medical, Urdu in September. JBT TET and Shastri TET were held on 02 Sep 2018. TGT Non-Medical and Language Teachers TET was held on 03 Sep 2018. Then TGT Arts and TGT Medical TET were held on 08 Sep 2018. Punjabi TET and Urdu TET were held on 09 Sep 2018.
HPBOSE had initially announced HP TET Result 2018 for Shastri, Language Teacher, Non Medical, Medical, Urdu on 08 Oct 2018. Now the board has announced result for TGT Arts, JBT, Punjabi on 31 Oct 2018.
Candidates who have obtained 60% marks that is 90 marks out of 150 have qualified as per HP TET Result. They will be issued qualifying certificate by HPBOSE. However there is a relaxation of 5% for SC, ST, OBC, PHH candidates of Himachal Pradesh.
Marks obtained in HP TET is equal to the number of correct answer, since each correct answer is of 1 mark and there is no negative marking.
TET qualifying certificate will be valid for a period of 7 years from the date of issuance of HP TET certificate. There is no limit on the number of attempts one can have for the Teacher Eligibility Test. Even those who have qualified may take the test again to improce their score.
HPBOSE was supposed to announce result in November / December, as per HP TET Notification 2018 initially published with application form. However it has announced all results before schedule. Nevertheless, records of TET including OMR Response Sheets are preserved upto 6 months from the date of declaration of result.
HPTET is a state level teacher eligibility test, held at intervals decided by HPBOSE and relevant authorities. As per present rules of teacher employment, candidates must have qualified TET in order to be eligible for teacher recruitment. Here it is relevant to note that HPTET qualification does not directly lead to employment in services of a teacher, however it is a necessary qualification to become one.
Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education is the government body that looks after the responsibilities of education in the state at secondary school level. The board was founded in 1969 and is headquartered in Dharamshala. Over 8000 schools are affiliated to it.
