Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) has declared the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) 12th class result 2021 today. While the link to check result was activated yesterday, the provision to view the result has been made available today, at 5 pm. Students can check their results at gbshsegoa.net.

The number of students who had registered for the exam was 18,195. Out of them, 18,085 students have passed. The result of 35 students has been kept on hold citing incomplete documents. Furthermore, 75 students have been put under ‘needs improvement’.

The stream wise pass percentages are as follows:

  • Science – 99.68%
  • Commerce – 99.66%
  • Vocational – 99.51%

The overall pass percentage stands at 99.4%.

The board has decided to not release a list of toppers this year.

Goa board did not hold exams for 12th class this year. In its place, results were compiled on the basis of alternate assessment criteria, of 30:30:40. Each of these was given 30% weightage – average marks of the top 3 subjects of Class 10th, and marks scored in the theory papers of Class 11th. While 40% of the total weightage was allotted to the marks scored by the students in the class 12th Unit Test, FT, Midterm, and Periodical test.

How to check Goa Board HSSC result 2021?

Step-1: Go to the website gbshsegoa.net.

Step-2: Click the link ‘get result’.

Step-3: Then click the link ‘HSSC results 2021’.

Step-4: On the next page, enter seat number, birth date, school index number, student’s first name, captcha. Then click ‘get result’.

This opens the result.

How to search result by name?

As can be seen from the steps above, student has to enter first name to check result. However with the same, one has to enter seat number, and school index number as well.

There is unfortunately no way to check the result just by name. Usually private websites like indiaresults make board exam results available by name. However no such provision is available this time.

Thus, if one is unaware of their seat number, then they can contact their school to know the same. As far as the school index number is concerned, that can be obtained from the Goa board website.

The pass percentage has seen a significant jump this year, not unlike other boards. To compare, it may be noted that the pass percentage was 89.27% last time. And in the year before, it was 89.59%. This year, Goa board also recorded the highest pass percentage in class 10 SSC results, with 99.72% pass percentage.
