Karnataka Higher Secondary Council (HSC) Board is all set to announce the 2nd Pre-University Certificate (PUC) or Class 12 2021 results tomorrow, July 20, 2021, at 4:30 pm. Results shall be announced on the board’s official website karresults.nic.in. As per reports, approximately 7 lakh students are ardently waiting for the state board authorities to announce their results. This year, results shall be announced based on an unconventional assessment method. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Karnataka board authorities decided to cancel the II PUC exams. The alternate methodology has been used to assess students, similar to the one devised by CBSE.
To check their Karnataka II PUC results, candidates have to follow the steps mentioned below –
Step 1: Visit the official website of the Karnataka HSC Board i.e., karresults.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the link attached to the Karnataka HSC board exam 2021 results.
Step 3: Key in the registration number and click on the “submit” option.
Step 4: After submitting the details, results shall be displayed on the screen.
Step 5: Print or download a copy of the results for future references.
This year, instead of proper 3-hour written exams, students will be evaluated based on their II PUC performance along with SSLC and I PUC performance. Therefore, a 45:45:10 formula shall be used for evaluation. Furthermore, results shall use the point system rather than the grading system. This is contrary to the CBSE model in which actual scores are considered instead of grades obtained in each subject. In addition to this methodology, the state board authorities will not assign ranks to students.
After the announcement of results, students who are not satisfied with their marks can appear for the written exams at a later stage. The same was confirmed by S Suresh Kumar, the Karnataka education minister. Moreover, to their relief, students will not fail in the II PUC 2021 assessment. As per reports, the board has decided to provide 5% grace marks along with minimum passing marks to repeater students.
Karnataka II PUC 2021 results are going to release a day after the commencement of the SSLC or Class 10 exams. Today, July 19, 2021, the board exam for core subjects took place. These subjects comprise of Mathematics, Science and Social Science. The next exam for languages shall take place on July 22, 2021. This year, a total of 8.76 lakh Class 10 students are expected to appear for the Class 10 board exams.
