The Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) has released the revised notification for GOA CET 2021. The application form will now be available in the online mode and to fill the same the candidates will be required to visit the goacet. in. The registration for the aforesaid exam will begin from June 21, 2021, and will end on June 30, 2021. Previously, the board has deferred the examination scheduled for June 15 and June 16, 2021. As per the new date sheet released by DTE, Physics and Chemistry paper will be held on July 27, 2021, while the paper on Mathematics is scheduled for July 28, 2021. GOA CET 2021 will be held predominantly for the candidates aspiring for admission in Engineering and Pharmacy courses.
For filling the application form for Goa CET the candidates must visit the official website of the board. Then, on the homepage search for the GOA CET application form link and proceed further. The first step is Registration, the candidates need to register themselves by using his/parent’s email id which is functional. Post this, log in again with the login id generated and thereafter enter all the relevant details on the application form as asked i.e. Parents name, last qualification, aggregate percentage, address, subjects applying for etc.
Then, upload a scanned photograph and signature that should be in the JPEG/PNG format and the size of which should be within the limit of 200 kb and 30 kb respectively. At last, pay the application fee i.e. INR 2000 if the payment is done within the specified dates via Debit/Credit Card etc. The candidates who fill the application form post the last date have to pay INR 3500 to the Directorate of Technical Education. Upon successful payment, the candidates are required to choose their preferred test centre and print the admit card.
The Goa CET exam is conducted mainly to provide admission in Engineering and Pharmacy courses. The exam is held offline in pen and paper mode and there are three individual papers i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Each paper accounts for 75 questions making the total number of questions 225. The questions in the examination will be only in the English language and the total duration of the exam will be 2 hours. The questions asked in the exam will be Multiple Choice Based i.e. one question will have 4 to 5 options and the candidate has to mark the correct answer out of all. As per the marking scheme, the candidate will get 1 mark for a correct answer while there will be no provision of negative marking.
