G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology (GBPUAT) has invited applications for the vacancy of teaching personnel. University is accepting applications for a total of 27 vacancies spread over different departments. The teaching post is applicable for Semester I of the academic year 2020-21. Eligible candidates shall be hired on a contractual basis with a salary of Rs.50,000 per month. Reservations for the same shall be done based on the reservation policy specified by the Uttarakhand Government. GBPUAT has invited applications for various departments such as Civil Engineering, Industrial & Production Engineering, MCA Information Technology, English, Physics, Mathematics and Physics. The Mathematics department has the maximum number of vacancies (7) whereas the Industrial and Production Eng. Department has only 1 vacancy. The University has released a pdf stating all the eligibility criteria required for candidates to apply for the position. For engineering subjects, candidates require an M.Tech/PhD degree in the respective engineering subjects with 60% above aggregate percentage. In case of point grading system, the equivalent grade shall be accepted for the application process. Candidates having science or humanities background require a PhD or Doctorate degree in the relevant subject or a Master’s degree in the relevant field to be eligible for the position. They must also score at least 60% or its equivalent in the point grading system to apply for the teaching vacancy.
Interested and eligible candidates are instructed by GBPUAT to submit their application along with their bio-data in the Dean’s Office, College of Technology. Candidates are requested to do so on or before October 20, 2020, till 5:00 pm. According to authorities, applicants are expected to carry their original certificates and attested copies to the walk-in-interview. The interviews round shall be conducted on October 28, 2020, at 9:30 am for science and humanities’ disciples. The same shall be conducted on the same date at 2:30 pm for engineering disciples in the office of Dean, College of Technology. After the interview, selected candidates shall be working as a teaching faculty on a contractual basis and are required to join the post immediately after selection.
Interested candidates must note that no intimation for the interview shall be given by the concerned authorities. Candidates are required to bring their original documents for the walk-in-interview. Terms and conditions are devised by the University which shall be activated during the duration of the engagement. No Travel Allowance or Dearness Allowance (TA/DA) shall be provided by the university for attending the interview.
