National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)-2020 again on October 14, 2020. Supreme court has given NTA special permission to hold the exam for those candidates who were not able to take the test earlier, due to COVID-19. However, since the confirmation of NEET 2020 re-exam has made headlines, there is a wave of confusion among the students regarding the date, eligibility, how to apply and more.
So, here are all the details that candidate need to know about NEET 2020 Phase 2 exam and how to appear for it.
Who can Apply for NEET 2020 Phase 2 / Re-Exam?
NTA is only allowing those candidates to appear for NEET Phase 2 who were not able to appear for the exam on September 13, 2020, either because they were suffering from COVID-19 or were living in the contaminated zone.
How to Apply for NEET 2020 Re-Exam?
Candidates who wish to appear for the exam, need to approach NTA, 24 hours before the start of NEET Phase. The phase 2 exam is due to be held on October 14, 2020, and the timing for it is 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. Hence, the candidates must approach NTA by 2.00 pm, today.
How to Approach NTA for NEET Phase 2 Exam?
Candidates can approach DG NTA via various mediums. The email ID of NTA is – [email protected], helpline is – 0120-6895200 (NTA Helpdesk). However, NTA is most active in twitter and their handle is – twitter.com/DG_NTA. Other than this, candidates go to nta.ac.in and try the numbers and e-mail address under “contact us” section.
Documents Needed to Apply for NEET Phase 2 Re-Exam?
While approaching NTA for NEET 2020 re-exam, the candidates will have to provide their application number, roll number, name, few details which will be asked and a proper certificate issued by a competent authority. The certificate must state that status of candidate affected by COVID-19 or living in contaminated area during the September 13 exam.

NEET 2020 re-exam pattern will be the same as that for NEET 2020. The exam will be held in pen-paper mode. There will be 180 questions in the exam and these will be of multiple choice type. 90 questions will be from biology and 45 questions each will be from physics and chemistry. Candidates will get 3 hours to solve these questions. Each question will be of 4 marks and for marking incorrect answer, negative marking of 1 mark will be done. Negative marking will also be applicable, if candidates will darken more that 1 circle for a question in the OMR sheet.
NEET 2020 result will be released on October 16, 2020. It will be released for NEET Phase 1 and Phase 2. Candidates will be able to check it online, from ntaneet.nic.in, by entering roll number and date of birth.
