With less than 24 hours left for the much-awaited examination, the candidates are filled with different queries regarding small things relevant to the examination. IIT Kharagpur is going to kickstart the GATE 2022 examination tomorrow, February 05, 2022. The examination shall be held on 3 more days i.e. February 06, 12, and 13, 2022. As notified, the exam will be held in two shifts, morning i.e. from 9 am to 12 pm, and in the evening, from 02.30 pm to 05.30 pm.
Owing to the relevance this exam holds, IIT has released a set of instructions along with the GATE 2022 admit card for the candidates who shall be participating in the exam tomorrow. This section has the answers to all the queries and as per that, in a bid to ensure social distancing, virtual calculator has been introduced. This is going to assist them in their calculations related to the examination. In addition to this, the candidates are asked to refrain from carrying charts, formula sheets, books, sheets, etc to the center.
Additionally, for assisting rough work, the candidates shall be provided with a scribble pad. Candidates are advised to write their name and registration number on the scribble pad. Also, they shall be allowed to keep only one scribble pad during the exam. In case, the first scribble pad is full. In that case, the candidates have to return that to the invigilator and then ask for a new one. After the exam ends. the candidates will be asked to return all the scribble pads before leaving the exam hall.

Other rules also state that any kind of metal object or smart device such as a microphone, calculator, smartwatch, etc are banned in the exam hall. Candidates must refrain from carrying these to the examination hall or strict disciplinary action shall be taken against them.
