GATE 2022 Registration starts in 3 Days; Eligibility criteria for all papers explained

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the GATE 2022 examination from August 30 to September 24, 2021, on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in.

CAT 2021 Registration

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is all set to open the registration portal for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 examination in 3 days i.e., August 30, 2021. Interested candidates can fill and submit the application form on the official website gate.iitkgp.ac.in. The registration process shall continue till September 24, 2021, without any late fee charges. Therefore, candidates have ample time to complete all the online registration formalities. With just 3 days left for the application process to begin, here are the eligibility criteria for each and every course under GATE 2022 examination.

# B.E., B.Tech. and B.Pharm. – Candidates interested to apply for GATE 2022 must be in the third or fourth year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of the completion of their degree should be 2023. Courses include either a bachelor’s degree or a diploma in Engineering/ Technology.

# B.Arch. –  Those candidates who are willing to apply for B.Arch must be in the third or higher year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The degree should get complete by the year 2024 for a 5-year course and 2023 for a 4-year curriculum. Courses include a bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Naval Architecture or Planning.

# B.Sc. (Research) or B.S. – Candidates must be in the third or higher year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of completion of their course should be the year 2023. Courses include a bachelor’s degree in Science, post-diploma or a 4-year course after Class 12.

# Pharm. D (10+2) – Such candidates must be in the 3rd, 4th, 5th or 6th year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of completion of the course should be 2023. Courses include a 6-year degree program comprising of internship or residency training. This training must begin from the third year itself.

# MBBS – Such candidates must be in the 5th, 6th, 7th or higher semester OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of completion of the degree should be 2023.

# MSc, MBA, MCA – Such candidates must be in the first or higher year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of completion of the degree is 2023. Master’s degrees in any branch of Arts, Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Applications are eligible.

# Integrated ME or M.Tech (Post B.Sc.) – Such candidates must currently be in the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of course completion is 2025. Courses include a Post B.Sc. integrated masters in Engineering or Technology.

# Integrated ME or M.Tech or Dual Degree (after Diploma or Class 12) –  Such candidates must be in the 3rd, 4th, 5th year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of completion is 2024. Courses include an integrated master’s degree or a dual degree program in Engineering or Technology.  

#BSc, BA or B.Com – Such candidates must be in the third or higher year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of completion of the degree is 2022. Courses include either a bachelor’s degree in any branch of Science, Arts or Commerce.

# Integrated MSc, BS or MS – Such candidates must be in the third or higher year OR must have already completed the respective degree. The minimum expected year of completion of the course is 2024. Courses include an Integrated MSc or a 5-year Integrated BS/MS program.

# Professional Society Exam (which is equivalent to BE, B.Tech or B.Arch) – Such candidates must be in the third or higher year OR must have already completed the respective degree. There is no minimum expected year of completion. Courses include a B.Tech, B.E, B.Arch or equivalent exams in Professional Societies recognised by the designated authorities.
