IIT Kharagpur has successfully conducted the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 Chemistry examination on February 6, 2022, in the afternoon shift. As the examination has already been conducted, candidates can check the unofficial answer key released by several institutes and senior faculties. Using these, candidates can get a rough estimation of their scores and determine their performances. These answer keys are provided along with question-wise explanations by the tutors and are accurate!
GATE 2022 Chemistry Answer Keys
To get an exact estimation of scores, candidates have to wait for the release of the official GATE Chemistry Answer key. It is expected to be released by February 26, 2022. Once this answer key is released, candidates can download it using the simple steps mentioned below.
Step 1. Go to the official GATE website, gate.iitkgp.ac.in
Step 2. Candidates can find the “Important Announcements” section present on the homepage itself. Under this section, candidates can find the direct link for GATE Answer Key.
Step 3. This will open an authentication page where candidates will be asked their Enrollment ID/Email Address and Password. After entering all these details and solving the mathematical captcha, click on “Submit”.
Step 4. The official answer key and question paper will automatically display on the candidate’s screen.
Step 5. Candidates should download it in PDF format for better reference.

The GATE Chemistry 2022 examination will be an MCQ-based test that candidates have to solve within 180 minutes of time. To more regarding the examination pattern, follow the section below.
- General Aptitude(GA) = 15 Marks
- Subject Marks for chemistry = 85 Marks
- Total Marks for CY = 100 Marks
- Total Time (in Minutes) = 180 Minutes
- Negative marking: 1/3 mark will be reduced for 1 mark question and 2/3 mark for 2 marks question.
- No negative marking for numerical answer type question.
Once the official answer key is released, candidates can analyze it and if they find any error or mistake, they can raise an objection/feedback against it under the “Answer Key Objection WIndow”. It will open in the first week of March 2022.
