Engineering Projects (India) Limited is inviting applications from eligible candidates for the engagement of Graduate Apprentices under the Apprentice Act 1961. EPI has published an official notification in this regard announcing 05 seats to be filled up by eligible applicants on a merit basis. The advertisement is available for download at the official website of EPI i.e. epi.gov.in. Eligible and interested candidates can apply online through the website of the EPI starting from August 01, 2020 (12.00 PM) to August 20, 2020 till 05.30 PM.
As per the official notification, there are 05 seats for Graduate Apprentices in the disciplines of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical and Instrumentation. Among these, 04 seats are unreserved while one seat is reserved for OBC category. Candidates having a B.E./B.Tech degree in any of the aforementioned disciplines with 55% marks from an AICTE approved institute are eligible to apply for the apprentice engagement. The minimum and maximum age of the applicants are specified at 18 and 30 years respectively. Appointed candidates are entitled to receive monthly stipend for the training period at the rate of Rs 10,000.
The selection of eligible applicants is done on the basis of merit. The merit lists are formed on the basis of marks obtained in the minimum educational criteria specified. Candidates who are awaiting results are not eligible to apply. Additionally, those who have undergone apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act are also not eligible. Only those candidates who have obtained their qualifications in the academic year 2017 to 2019 are eligible to apply. Post selection, successful candidates are appointed for a training period of one year. However, there is no extension of the training period or subsequent employment offered by EPIL after the completion of the apprenticeship training.
The applications for the aforementioned apprenticeship engagement can only be submitted online through the recruitment website i.e. engineeringprojects.com. No other means of application are accepted for this recruitment. However, applicants are advised to possess valid email ID, scanned copies of recent passport-sized photograph and signature in the JPEG format, and within 30 to 40 KB file size, personal details including date of birth, contact details, etc and educational details before applying.
In order to apply, candidates must at first click on the link provided in the recruitment section of the EPIL website for registration. At this stage, candidates must select the post and the region they are applying for. Subsequently, the application form must be filled up by providing all the necessary details and uploading of the scanned documents wherever applicable and required. Candidates are advised to generate a print out of the online application form and preserve it for future reference.
