District Legal Services Authority Mangalore is recruiting eligible candidates for the post of Paralegal. The official notification for the same is available on the website, districts.ecourts.gov.in. A total of 60 vacancies are out for the Paralegal recruitment. Aspirants can submit their forms for the advertised posts by August 27, 2020.
Out of the total vacancies, 20 are announced under Mangaluru district, 10 for Bantwala, 10 for Puttur, 10 for Sullia and 10 vacancies for Belthangady district. Candidates shall convey their work preference on District Level, Taluka Level and Village Level. Applications from those candidates who voluntarily willing to work as Paralegal Volunteers are invited. As the recruitment is for volunteers, no remuneration/ salary is paid for candidates for their service.
Only those candidates who are working as Teachers (retires teacher are also included), retires govt servant and senior citizens, MSW students and teachers, Anganwadi Workers, Doctors/ Physicians, Law Students (till they enrol as lawyers), services oriented NGOs and clubs, members of non-political, members of women neighbourhood groups, Maithri Sanghams and others self help groups including the marginalized/ vulnerable groups. The conducting body, District Legal Services Authority, is organizing the recruitment process for Paralegal for the Dakshina Kannada districts – Mangalore, Bantwal, Puttur, Sullia and Belthangady. DLSA works on the implementation of the aims and objectives of the Legal Sevices Authorities Act 1987. For this, they organize Lok Adalats to settle pending cases in various courts in the district, gives free legal aid to the eligible persons. Also, it works to spread legal awareness to the local citizens. It has introduced various schemes and programmes to ensure that the legal services reach the indigent, backwards, neglected and needy people. DLSA also conducted different segments on legal awareness in the villages, town and areas in the city.
