University of Delhi has opened 166 vacancies for the post of Associate Professors. The post are open in 47 departments. Registration is for the recruitment has started and the candidates can apply until August 08, from du.ac.in.
The maximum number of vacancies, 32, are in the department of law. Other than this, 11 and 10 vacancies are in Management Studies, and Economics respectively. Botany, Chemistry, Education each have 8 vacancies. Psychology has 6 vacancies, History and Physics & Astrophysics each have 5 vacancies. Then there are 4 in Commerce. In the rest of the departments there are 1 to 3 vacancies.
The pay scale of this post is on the basis of the Academic pay level 14th of the 7th Central Pay Commission Pay Matrix. The application fee for the post of Professor is 2000/- for OBC, UR, EWS categories. But no fee will be charged for the categories of SC, ST, PwDB and for women.
To apply, candidates have to visit the official portal of Delhi University – du.ac.in >> Advertisement for the Post of Professors >> Online application. They have to register with their email ID and phone number to fill the form. No offline forms will be accepted.
The candidates have to pay the fees of the registration form through debit card /credit card or Net banking. The applicants must not upload any documents that are false, tampered or fabricated while submitting the form online. The candidates under Government or Public Sector Undertakings (PSU) including Boards or Autonomous bodies) are requested to submit or upload the “No Objection Certificate” (NOC).
The applicants for the position of Professor will be screened by calculating the academic research score, where the candidate has to provide evidence of their project sanction letter, copies of their publications, PhD award letter, etc. The Screening Committee then prepares a list of all the candidates of their research score from highest to lowest marks. The screened candidates will be then called for the interview process. They have to report with all the original testimonials/certificates and with a self-attested photocopies of the same along with a valid photo ID (Aadhaar / Voter Id / Driving License / Passport) at the time of the interview.
